Nice stop

Nice for an overnight stop but we stayed about a week. Narrow sites for big rig parking but they were long enough. Our site sloped forward but we managed. No gravel, dirt; it is the desert. Pleasant staff. A whole lot of birds in the bushes and trees chirping as the sun came up.

Great Stay

We stayed for two nights, arrived late and left early. Great for an overnight hookup. Spacious parking and environment. Had a nice walk to Walmart (1.2 miles each way) but they do have a shop on sight. Your standard KOA experience would stay again. Clean showers and toilets.

Very nice KOA!

Kind front staff helped these weary travelers. Typically sparkling clean restrooms/shower/laundry. Sites were slightly more spacious than usual. The miniature golf course was a mess of leaves and pebbles but we played anyway. Fairly quiet in terms of traffic noise.

Great for Noobs

We are fresh new travel trailer haulers and this was our first stop for the night on our journey home. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Very willing to show us the ropes if needed. We were directed right to our site and all the sites seem to have nice hedge screens between the sites. Made our spot feel pretty private. The playground is nice our 2 year old had a blast ripping around it. So far best KOA I've stayed at. The camp store was well stocked also.

Overnighter

The people at the Kingman Koa were very nice and accommodating. Rv spots are all dirt but surrounded by trees and bushes for some privacy. Bathrooms were older but clean. There is a cute dog park with a few tunnels to climb on, but no grass. A bunch to do for kids. They have a nice playground, mini golf, horse shoes, and a pool. The pool was good side but the water was alittle merky.

Adorable mini log cabins for rent.

Overall good place for short trips. Tucked in a neighborhood and close to retail and town. Propane fill up available on site.

First night in our camper

We picked up our camper today and spent the first night here. When we pulled up a staff member met us to make sure everything was hooked up well and showed us around. Felt welcomed wishin the first 5 minutes. Urban area with lots of amenities nearby, perfect for getting groceries and starting our adventure.

Kingman KOA

This is a typical KOA located within a suburban neighborhood. The campground is located about 2 miles from the grocery store, shopping center, and freeway. Although it wasn't open when I was there, there is a food truck at the campground that everyone says has good food. It was quiet at night too.

Cell Service: Good

plenty of privacy

a lot of trees and tons of things to do with the kiddos.. a really nice play ground and mini golf are always a bonus. Fresh paint and well kept are perfect for me... KOA's are really good at making everything fun with family...

They did have a pool but it was closed and under construction, it was gravel roads but trees in between the campers so you were not on top of your neighbors, cabins were also available. They have full hook ups and huge areas for tent campers, they also had a really neat food truck that runs certain hours. Really well kept

Here are my star ratings based on my lifestyle and what I like. I'm also a mother, dog mama, and a wife so it's not just me it's my crew and i. 1 star- AUTOMATIC relocate… the property is no longer there, trashed or/and I could never have my children there and I wouldn't ever think about staying no matter what. 2 star- Not really my jam, and would NEVER go to again… It probably more of desert life and not really my style for sure…Being from Vegas I can't stand being in the desert and I love the Trees and the Green more than anything. 3 star- Would stay there again in a pinch, but not really my style, the reason its not is because not enough family things to do, the scenery, or the location… but I would go again and feel safe having my kiddos here but only if I needed to in a pinch. 4 star- a really good rating for sure, maybe needed some improvements, minor things like being on top of each other, not a lot of privacy, but honestly little cosmetic things that aren't anything to sweat and would be back again for sure. 5 star- MY FAVORITE… love the location, safety, the surroundings, big camp spots available to fit toys for my kids to play, hammocks to hang, our big family tent, cases of firewood, our suburban or RV, etcccccc….. I would not only come back but would live if I could!!! Anyway thanks for reading and enjoy every moment like it's your last! CHEERS!

Nice getaway spot

We headed to the Kingman KOA during the KOA customer appreciation weekend. We've always enjoyed the consistency of the KOA experience and this spot fell right in line. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were clean and well maintained. My full hook up site was close to our neighbors but the hedge rows in between them have us a nice private setting. Bathrooms were clean and the dog park was nicely maintained.

Kingman KOA

April 28-30, 2019 Windy and cool. Site was VERY small, had electric and water. Park had dump station, showers, flush toilets, wifi, cable and laundry (last load 5 p.m. then LOCKED - never experienced this in a KOA).  Rate: $41.31 member price. This park is in a bad area. I asked the waitress at Cracker Barrel about the area looking a little scary and she said do not worry. You are safe. The Meth users kill each other.

A regular stop when visiting family

We regularly stay at this KOA when visiting family in the area. We love the Deluxe Patio sites, but they are not in our budget when on a fixed income. If you can afford it, the deluxe patio sites offer the most room, plus a concrete patio, fire pit, and grill.

This time, we stayed in the longer pull throughs on the other side of the campground - but these pull throughs are narrow if you have slideouts on both sides. Forget using an awning, we barely have room for the slides or walking between slide and hedge. See photos.

These sites are closest to the road, and there is road noise. Especially when the trash pickup truck comes at 6am.

The mini golf area has been refreshed and it looks really nice.

Wonderful for kids

This a great experience since we were originally not planning on camping on our way back to California, but it got late and we were tired.we got a KOA basic abin which fit my husband and I and a bunk bed which our son loved. The campground also had a pool, hot tub , play ground, mini golf and a little train that kids to ride in around the park starting at 9:30am. I am glad we stayed here, it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and the on site store had everything you could need. Like all KOA’s the showers and bathrooms were like nice hotel rooms.

Not as exciting during the off season

I wanted to find a place that was close to Oatman so I could make a daycation away from the house in Vegas. Everything I saw implied this one was the most reliable and closest to the site. I did see along the path however a few others, but my reservation had already been made and for $30 nonrefundable that meant I was keeping my claim on my site.

The site was not a deluxe site like some KOA's have but it was a non-primitive site and I had hook ups so I was excited to see what it was this campground had to offer.

I was staying during offseason so I knew I wouldn't have access to the pool or hot tub, the hot tub would have been nice however. I was expecting to maybe play some mini golf but the course looked unmaintainted like it too was in the off season, a little disappointing.

Since there wasn't anything to do really at camp I went and explore the Historic Route 66 in Kingman to follow up my fun in Oatman on the same journey. it was quirky and bold and had some really nice stops. I was very happy with having proximity to the options I got to see so it made the campground worth it. I was given a few tips from the office as to the must see locations and I managed to check them out before it got dark. (pictured)

All in all, I wouldn't say I wouldn't give this place a shot again during a different time of year, but during the early months of the year it wasn't all I was wanting it to be and more.

Kingman KOA

Arrived here at night. We took a look at the tent sites before paying, which turned out to be a good thing as someone was squatting in a site. You can hear the road from the campground and some people seemed to be using the road to race. But - the site we chose was good. They all have fences, ours had shrubs, which gave the feeling of privacy. The showers were fine and there are toilets right by the tent sites.
