Sitting along the shore of Lake Mohave within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Carp Cove is a free, dispersed site managed by the National Park Service. The road in is passable by standard vehicles, but only if driven slowly and only when it hasn't washed out. Water is visible and close. Trash left by previous visitors has been a recurring issue, so campers should plan to pack out more than they bring in. No pets are permitted.
Description
Vehicle camping is permitted at developed campgrounds or in primitive areas designated on the backcountry maps. Vehicles of all kinds, including four-wheel drives, motorcycles and bicycles, must stay on designated roads.
