Rough road and lots of trash.

Road in is definitely not RV friendly. We did alright coming in and did find a spot to pull off about a mile in. Lots of horse manure and spent shotgun shells everywhere. I’ll never understand why people who enjoy shooting can’t pickup after themselves. Nice views as long as you look up.

Quiet and clean

Pulled off the highway and yes the road is a bit rough but can be navigated with slow speed and caution. Drive about 1/2 mile to a small area with a fire ring. Level and clean.

Second Times the Charm

We loved our stay so much we had to return. The sunsets are just amazing. No services and had to pick up some trash. No fire ring

Top of the Knoll

This is a site that is in a dispersed camping area and is used be OHVs. It is on Buckwash Road off of Highway 68. Before you get to Bullhead City. When you turn off the highway be aware that crossing the cattle guard there is a major hole go driver side hard and you might miss it. There will be a staging area for OHVs and you head up the hill. We stopped at the top of the knoll on the left side. There was just enough room for our cabin and Jeep. No services. Amazing sunsets.

Not that nice

Contrary to what other say for reasons I can't imagine this road SUCKS and is severely water damaged and NOT maintained as it is the old hwy. Tons of trash and homeless sleep here in most of the spots as this area is rated 7th worst place to live in the United States due to poverty and access to shopping areas. I got roaming signal here kept going in and out. Pretty frustrating.

Sketchy & dirty

This would be a nice place to camp if it wasn’t for all the trash & sketchy people who just drive around in it. We went and stayed overnight at the Lowe’s in bullhead city! FYI Walmart here does not allow overnight parking

Primitive Site

Just to the north off Hwy 63 headed from Golden Valley to Laughlin sits a off road BLM camping site. Road is well maintained and lots of level areas to park your camper. Bring in your own water and generator, pack out what you bring in. No trash pick up or garbage containers. Great spot to stay for the night or day to explore mines and or ride.

Like Camping on an John Wayne Movie Set

Halfway between Kingman and Bullhead City, on the western side of the pass, is this BLM land that will knock your socks off!  Many places to pull over for a night or for a week or two along the road. No services, no water, no toilets, just beautiful open desert with quintessential AZ mountains. Closest towns with supplies are Kingman and Bullhead City, about 20-30 minutes from each.
