Okay for the day "Summer"

Really not much to brag about here, too hot for the summer season. Recommend coming here late Fall thru early Spring.

Escape from the Desert Heat

Just a few miles off I-40 just east of Kingman. So surprising how much the temperature dropped up the mountain looking over the Arizona desert still. The rangers at the campground was very informational and helpful on finding the perfect place for either tent camping or bringing your RV with hook-ups. The grounds have plenty of trails to hike and the scenery is wonderful and the freshness of the air words can't describe. Definitely coming back in the future.

Next time

Unfortunately we weren't able to get a site here or a bite to eat. A large truck took out the power pole and knocked out the power to the whole city of Wikieup.

Golden Valley Nest

Had a wonderful stay at this RV park. Has a wonderful staff and very friendly. Full hook-ups make the stay very convenient and comfortable, not only the cost is very reasonable. Dogs enjoyed the dog park and the old farm equipment made the place very rustic.

Primitive Site

Just to the north off Hwy 63 headed from Golden Valley to Laughlin sits a off road BLM camping site. Road is well maintained and lots of level areas to park your camper. Bring in your own water and generator, pack out what you bring in. No trash pick up or garbage containers. Great spot to stay for the night or day to explore mines and or ride.

Big Bend Gem

Amazing place to set up for the day, camping is available with water and power hook-ups. We spent the day on in the beach area. Definitely a little gem on the Colorado River.

Beautiful Colorado River

Affordable camping and day use on the Colorado River just North of Bullhead City, AZ and Laughlin, NV. Full hook-ups available, showers, and on the river camping. Great place to spend a few days or just a few hours on the river. Convenient Jetski rentals on site.

Quick Stop for Overnight

Had a wonderful and peaceful night at the beautiful Leaf Verde. Didn't have much time to enjoy the amenities, however from the looks of the grounds and how the place was kept up, everything looked well taken care of.

Gem off the Hwy

We stopped off Hwy 93 into Burro Creek Campground, the sites are well maintained and level. No hook-ups, but the restrooms are clean and kept up. The creek is a wonderful place to relax and fish. Beautiful scenery and the Hwy bridge in the distance is majestic.

Peaceful and Quiet

First long trip in our new camper to Parker, AZ. We decided to pick the River Island as our first trip to Parker. The campgrounds are very welcoming and spread out with good distance between them. You are nestled way in between two large canyons of red rock with the beautiful Colorado River to the west end of the campsites. The restrooms and showers were clean and well stocked. The Wi-Fi and Phone service was a little patchy, then again you're camping. It was very convenient that there is a private boat launch with the campground, you can launch your boat and other watercraft without leaving the site. Overall we would camp here again, however our next Parker AZ trip will be to Buckskin State Park just south of River Island, wait for our review there.

Jewel in Buckeye

Moved to Buckeye in Oct of 2018, when exiting off Watson road off I-10 always seen the signs of the Skyline Regional Park. Spent a few months pushing it off from visiting, until I decided to go take the drive up and realized how this hidden jewel was in Buckeye. Well maintained and marked trails with unbelievable views. Restrooms at the parking lot very clean. Overnight campsites which are primitive. However a wonderful and peaceful place to visit to clear your mind or soak up the views.

Midweek Getaway

My wife and I took a two day trip upto Lake Pleasant with our Coleman Camper and Bayliner Boat. It's just a 50 min drive from Buckeye, so it's very close and convenient for us to getaway and still have city amenities near by 15 min drive. The campgrounds are very well taken care of and the restrooms are clean. Unfortunately there was a Fire Ban when we stayed, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the nightlife of the stars and mingling with fellow campers. During the day the lake was so relaxing and refreshing during the heat of the desert. Took the boat as far north to explore the lake and the secluded coves this lake offers. The website makes it easy to pick your site based on availability, however during the week you probably can just pull in and grab a site.
