RV travelers seeking a convenient interstate stopover will find Benson KOA positioned just off I-10 with drive-in access via a dirt road. This established campground operates year-round and provides full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections for recreational vehicles. The facility underwent renovations in recent years, updating key amenities like the laundry room with new washers and dryers.
Sites feature level, graveled surfaces with picnic tables at each spot. Campers report the layout places sites relatively close together in organized rows. Some sites include fire rings, though availability varies by location. Alisa P. notes that "the sites are level and graveled" and praises the updated facilities. The campground includes a game room with pool table, playground equipment, and outdoor activities like cornhole and horseshoes for families.
Amenities include clean restrooms with hot showers, WiFi access, and a dump station. The facility allows pets and accepts reservations. Staff members receive consistent praise for their welcoming approach to guests. Campers should be aware that sites near the main building experience brighter lighting at night from street lamps, which some visitors find disruptive to sleep.
The location works well for travelers needing a reliable overnight stop with full services between destinations, particularly those hauling larger RVs requiring level sites and complete utility connections.
