Worst customer service

Our family drove over an hour to fish here. Upon arriving at the gate, we weren’t even greeted. A older lady stood up and just stared at us with a mean look. After about a 30 second stare, she finally said“hi”. I said“hi”. Another 15 second stare and she said”can I help you?” Very rudely. I said“yes we’re here to fish”. She said“we’re closed”. I asked what time they close daily and mentioned that google says open 24hrs and their website doesn’t list hours and she said“4”. I said we drove an hour here and you don’t close for another 45 min can we just drive through and look around, it’s our first time here. She said well I’m not charging you. I said this place was recommended to me on Facebook-can we at least look around? She said“no we’re closed”. I said ok what’s the price? She said we’re closed. I said I understand what you’re saying but what is the price? She sat down and refused to answer me. We left. We probably won’t be back. I decided to check around to see their reviews and it seems this lady is rude to everyone. Why has she not been replaced? I believe her name is Tracy. I tried to find out who her boss was by calling and emailing. However, no one answers the phone and she told me via email she’s the supervisor. SHE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED! So many people complain about her!!

Beautiful but noisy!

The campground itself is beautiful. The noise level is terrible. So if you are retired or want a nice, quiet place, this isn't it. The sprawling playground that aligns the campsites assures of loud, screaming children at all hours. Further, either there is no noise ordinance, or it is not enforced as loud music is ongoing into the night. Unfortunately, have to strike this beautiful spot off the list.

Nice quiet campground in a beautiful area

Large sites with plenty of space between. They rent tubes to float the creek or canoes to paddle the ponds in the park. Ponds have fish to catch, don’t even need an Alabama fishing license to fish. Super quiet.

Hidden Gem in the Alabama Woods!

We stayed here for Christmas of 2021. This place was gorgeous! Lakes and rivers everywhere and the views were incredible. Lots of waterfront sites available. We had our annual multi family meet up with a fifth wheel and our converted bus. Both campers were welcomed and accommodated. Full hookups and primitive camping available. Nice bath house and laundry facility. Playground. Horse stable for overnight. If you enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking or horseback riding this place Is for you. 30 min from the WindCreek Casino Atmore and local shopping.

Awesome campground

Nice place with couple fishing lakes and creek. They do not allow you to bring your own floats, but tubing with theirs is $ 5 per person. General admission was $ 5 per person. They have canoes. Some nice shaded lots BIG need more signs. Clean beach area.

Great campsite!

Full hookups, playground for kids, lots of little lakes and river access throughout the park. It was too cold for water activities during our stay, but we had a wonderful time walking around and exploring the property. Quiet, clean spots. Wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Close to home favorite

Campground itself isn't large only about 50+ sites. Most are full hook up with less then 20 being power and water only. Very well maintained and always making improvements.

Sites~ most are spacious but need more tree growth to have the illusion of privacy. Pads are gravel but fairly level. Some back up to water.

Bathhouse~ The newest BH is very nice, well maintained and clean. 4 shower stalls with doors and curtains. They are about to start construction on a second BH.

Things to do~ No real biking or hiking trails. Small lake/lg pond to fish in and river for swimming. They offer tubing trips through the campground $5 per person and it's maybe 2 hrs with stops. Horseback riding trails and accommodations.

Great campground for hanging with friends and lounging at the river, clean and well maintained. If your looking for activities and places to go this is not the best choice.

Sitesomewhere between10-16 we were with a large group & it was every other site
