This place is amazing. It’s like parks and Rec come to life. I’m surprised it’s not named Pawnee! It’s hard to believe it’s totally free but it is. This is not a campground per se but a great place to spend the night.
Large parking spaces and a center with great clean bathrooms that stays open all night. No showers. And plenty of visitor info too! If that wasn’t enough there are picnic tables and an aquatic center next door with a stocked place to fish. Right behind it is a park with a small skate park and big rec area with baseball field. Even a tiny corral for lil’ Sebastian! (Can’t imagine what else they use it for since it’s so small).
Great coffee around the corner at cowboy coffee.
Really this place is amazing.
Only issue we had was our dog found an old dead fish in a bush and ate it (we were camped near the fish spot). A bird must’ve got it and dropped it.
A couple tractor trailers were nearby and that was a little loud. Next time I would park closer to the building. Plenty of people were here to feel safe but not so much it was crowded. Also there was some sort of water available for rv’s. I saw the poles in the parking lot and appeared to be water but I’m not 100%.
