Teton National Forest manages sites 10 and 11 on Shadow Mountain as designated dispersed campsites, giving campers a degree of separation that fully developed campgrounds don't provide. The access road is rocky but manageable in dry conditions; wet weather makes it considerably more difficult. Sites fill fast, and campers have been turned away after arriving late in the day. Each site includes a metal fire ring, and sightlines between sites are blocked by terrain. Arrive early, especially on weekends, and check road conditions before heading up. For broader options in the area, campgrounds near Teton National Forest include a range of nearby alternatives such as Shadow Mountain Campground less than a mile away.
