antelope springs campsites

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Accessible via a dirt road that a standard Honda CRV handles without issue, Antelope Springs Campsites sits in the Kelly, Wyoming area with roughly 15 first-come, first-served dispersed sites arranged on a loop. No reservations are required, and no fee data is listed. Sites are designated, meaning campers must stay within marked areas rather than setting up anywhere on the landscape.

Each site has a fire ring, and some include bear boxes, a practical detail worth knowing if you're traveling with food storage in mind. There is one outhouse on the adjacent Antelope Springs Designated Dispersed Camping Sites 1-8, but Antelope Springs Campsites itself has no bathroom facilities. Reviewers note the area can get muddy after precipitation, though access remains manageable in typical conditions. The campground connects directly to Shadow Mountain Dispersed Camping to the southwest, making the broader Shadow Mountain corridor a reasonable base for exploring this stretch of the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

Views of the Teton range are visible from the sites, though tree cover partially blocks sightlines at some locations. Trailers up to 22 feet have fit here, but maneuvering space is limited, and anything larger may have difficulty turning around. Wildlife activity and hunting are present in the area during fall months, yet even then the campground tends to see light use. Those planning a winter visit should note that tent camping is not permitted and temperatures drop sharply.

Campers researching camping near Kelly will find this area clusters several dispersed options in close proximity, giving flexibility to move between sites if one fills. Pets are allowed, cell service is available, and campfires are permitted at each designated ring. If you want Teton views without a crowded developed campground, this loop is worth the short drive in.

Site #12

This site is isolated from the others and the views are partially blocked by trees. There is a table and fire ring. Okay for our 22’ trailer, anything larger may have trouble turning around.

Camp with a view

Easy and quick campground to get to off the main stretch of road. I drive a regular Honda crv and did just fine getting in on the dirt road. About 15 campsites, all first come first serve. All have amazing views of the Teton range. One outhouse. All sites have fire rings. Would camp here again!

November is good.

A continuation of the shadow mountain campground but this one does not have a bathroom. Some of the spots have bear boxes so that's cool. I showed up here in November and even with all the hunting all around the site was practically empty. There are fire pits at every designated site and it also does not allow you to set up tents. In the winter tho be prepared to be cold!

Great spot

This spot has a great view of the Tetons, spots are somewhat close, but on a nice loop. Continued spots from the earlier 1-8 that had a bathroom. No bathroom here. Can get muddy but easy to drive in. Fire rings at each spot, can only camp at designated spots.
