Platte River RV Park & Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Platte River RV Park & Campground in Glenrock, Wyoming, where full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections accommodate rigs up to 60 feet. At $53 for a full hookup site, it functions primarily as a highway stopover, convenient for travelers moving through the region. Online check-in works smoothly for late arrivals since staff are not always on-site after hours.

Sites sit close together on flat, open ground with no shade to speak of. The layout is compact, which reviewers note but accept given the RV park context. What the campground does offer is a dog park area stocked with toys and waste bags, plus a path down to the Platte River at the back of the property. Mosquitoes are heavy near the water after dark, so plan accordingly if you intend to spend time along the riverbank.

Cleanliness stands out across multiple reviews. "One restroom, one shower, both clean," notes Annie G., and that sentiment is echoed by other visitors. Laundry facilities are also available on-site. Long-term guests have reported that site quality varies depending on placement, so it may be worth requesting a specific spot when booking. Nearby alternatives include Deer Creek Village RV Park if this location is full.

If you need a reliable overnight pull-through with full hookups and basic amenities, this spot gets the job done.

Many campers appreciated the clean facilities and dog-friendly amenities, particularly the river access. Several guests reported problems with very small sites, lack of shade, and inconsistent staff availability.

…At least there’s a dog park

I liked the little dog park and river access.

I mostly didn’t like everything else… from what I’ve been gathering, they put their long-term stays in worse sites which seems strange? RV sites are extremely small. Whoever was in charge of the website's marketing did a bang-up job, because let me tell you, the reality is a far cry from those picture-perfect images.

This campground, is nothing more than a flat, uninspiring patch of land that will transform into a mud pit at the first sight of rain. Shade? Forget about it. You'd be luckier finding a needle in a haystack than a sliver of shade here. And good luck tracking down any staff – it's like they've perfected the art of hide and seek. The office "closed" sign is practically a permanent fixture. So, if you're in the middle of a long-term stay and something goes awry– you're pretty much on your own.

Super organized

We were using this campground as just a stop on the way to Grand Teton. It was convenient off the highway. Close together, but it's an RV park after all ...it was super clean, owner was super nice and very organized....provided with a list of rules and there are a bunch of signs.

We were able to do laundry here and it has a dog park area with dog poop balls and a ball and tug of war toys. My dog loved this!!!

Platte river was at the back of the campground and you can go down and hang out. Mosquitoes bad at night though down by the river! We had a good experience for a quick stop. $53 for full hookup etc. It's the only thing they had other than non electric, as we booked same day.

Off season

We stopped here for one night in late April. Registered for a primitive pull thru site online. Arrived after 6, no one around, no one answered the phone. So we just grabbed a spot, no problem. One restroom, one shower, both clean.
