Careful in Fort Bridger Good Sams camp

In all my days as a camper, I have never ever heard the first words from a phone call,“Actually, we are closed!” My surprise when we followed the directions provided and arrived about six PM on a Sunday night, July 6, we missed the turn by about twenty five yards and had to turn around to enter the drive to the camp. Parking in the designated spot, I went to the door to see a very unwelcoming sign, with hours. It was now six 10, The siGN SAID,“NO SELF PARKING, DO NOT CALL AFTER HOURS!” I went back to the camper, and thinking it was only a few minutes after six, I got my phone, walked back to the door with the note, and called. IT WAS SIX 17! The voice answered, with the campground name, and I asked for a full hookup pull through site.(We could see many many open spaces) THATS WHEN I RECEIVED THOSE WORDS, which are hard to forget, especially from a GOOD SAM’S approved camp ground we found in their directory.. So much for friendly service. Six seventeen and“ACTUALLY WE ARE CLOSED! SAD. Good Sam’s adjust your thinking. Campers, if you are not timely, skip this one. I know we will on future trips. Just a few miles away in Lyman, is a very friendly site. Skip Fort Bridger, go to Lyman.

Tent camping

The site overseer Tony was helpful, and professional. The grounds maintained. The bathrooms well stocked, clean and offer good hot water pressure for showers. The tent site is large, grass and away from the RV sites. Definitely a spot we will stay again. Note the site offices close at 7pm. We had no reservations so you must arrive before 7pm. Our visit late late September 2024

Very friendly and open in the winter!!!

We picked up our new Bean Trailer in Utah this January and needed a place to stay with bathroom facilities.  This Camp was the only one around that had facilities in the wintertime.  What a Godsend!  The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were clean and warm which was very welcome with the weather in the single digits.  I would highly recommend this Camp as a comfortable pass-through camp!

Fort Bridger RV Campground

Very cute campground. Nice place to stay to visit Jim Bridger’s fort. We walked to the museum which is great. Lot to see. We talked to the ranger who was full of information about the fort and the Mormons.

Quiet, clean, and lots of history!

The town has a lot of history and you can tour all the old building from the fort. The rv park itself was quite with very clean facilities. Only wish they could add a dog park and kids play area (they have the room).

Quiet, with a bit of history nearby

Only about 5-10 minutes off I-80, it won't take you long to get here.  It is fare enough away that you won't hear any sounds coming from the interstate.  Our host was extremely sweet, and the facilities were very clean.  Sit back and watch/listen to the nearby cows.  Or, check out the nearby Fort Bridger Museum.

Spacious, friendly staff

Well maintained, spacious park, good spacing between sites. All sites have water, electric, and sewer. The quirky little town of Fort Bridger is a block away, with a small convenience and liquor store. There's also a park, but I didn't check it out. Front desk staff and camp host are super friendly. I enjoyed my stay here, and would stay again.

Very quiet and pretty

I stayed for one night in April and I was the only non-resident there. The pandemic was keeping folks home so I had it all to myself. At the time, the owners were not wearing or requiring masks in the office. I hope they’ve changed that. Pull through sites, everything worked.
