Gorgeous and quiet

Pulled into this campsite without any expectations and was blown away by the beauty. Sunsets are stunning at this beautiful canyon-like setting, with a lovely river flowing right beside. Campsites are fairly spaced apart, with a single vault toilet and water source near the middle of the grounds. Sites also have fire pits and picnic tables. No lights and very little noise. Great place for stargazing and enjoying the views, and close to Sinclair where you can refuel or grab food. I hope I can camp here again someday!

Great visit

Easy to find. Roads in area great, but be careful driving in on paved road big dips and a speed limit of 50mph can mess your rig up! I seen a boat docking site to the left before camping. Two Loops that multiple car tents could post up, do not know if that’s allowed but seen while visiting. They there is parking and tables for 3 tent sites or truck campers. Then 5-ish sites for RV and trailers. I was in the last one and loved it. Right on river lots of chip munks! Hawks spotted of you have small dogs.

Quiet serene spot

You can stay up to 14 days. Right next to the river. No cell service (verizon) but starlink worked well

Ideal primitive BLM site

We arrived in the dark but that was no problem since the moon was bright and it was easy to navigate. The page says there are 5 sites but I think there’s way more room than that esp if you’re in a tent like us. Didn’t see water but there was a vault toilet. Watch out for deep burrows when walking around so you don’t trip!

Good dispersed camping

Very well maintained campground with vault toilet and drinking water available on the banks of the N. Platte River. Sites are large and spread out. There are 5 single and one group site. The only downside is that there isn't any shade.

Great Early October Stay

This was our first time staying on BLM land and we loved it. This spot is an easy, well-marked drive in from the interstate. While it was a little smaller area than we expected, it was beautiful and relaxing place. Great star gazing with a fantastic view of the Milky Way, and it wasn’t too cold in early October.

Quiet Sites in Sagebrush

We arrived at around 7:00 PM and were able to find a site. There are 5 pull-up sites, and quite a few tent sites. Quiet campground alone the North Platte River. It’s a great free site managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

Great o/n stop

Stopped here 8/2/2020 on way to Tetons. Quiet for a Sunday in the summer. Can accommodate large rigs. We camped here in a 30' TT. No utilities or verizon cel service but still worth the overnight stop. Little bit of garbage from previous campers but overall clean area. Would return again.

Great spots near water!

Good area for fishing on land or boat due to direct access to north platte river. The sound of the water while you sleep is great. Caught a good bit of trout through here. This seems like an area where you may need to worry about snakes during the day.

In addition to the restroom facility, there is also a water station operated by hand crank.

  • Ice cold water is great to sit in!
