About

KoA

Welcome to Rawlins KOA, a convenient spot for travelers looking for a quick and comfortable overnight stay. This campground is perfect for those passing through and needing a place to rest. It's got all the basics covered: electric hookups, drinking water, and clean showers and toilets. Plus, it's pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends along.

The campground is right off the highway, making it super easy to get to. Some folks have mentioned that the sites can be a bit tight, but they appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. If you're traveling with a big rig, you'll find it accommodating, though you might want to bring an extension cord for your electric hookup just in case.

Rawlins KOA offers a mix of tent, RV, and cabin accommodations, so there's something for everyone. The tent sites are spacious enough, and the RV spots come with full hookups, including sewer and water. There's even a sanitary dump station on-site.

While the campground itself might not win any beauty contests, it's functional and clean. The gravel pads and interior roads are well-maintained, and there's a camp store for any last-minute needs. If you're looking for a bite to eat, Peppermills in town comes highly recommended.

Overall, Rawlins KOA is a solid choice for a quick stopover. It's got the essentials, friendly staff, and easy access to the highway, making it a reliable option for weary travelers.

Sad little patch of gravel.

This place is an overnight rest stop at best, and worse. The staff is nice and accommodating. There isn’t much to accommodate. It is located in a sketchy little town that has its best days a while back.

Over night stop

Nice for an over night. Sites are too close and tight. Kids running around screaming. We walked out our door in the morning and an irresponsible dog owner left their dogs poop 5 ft from our steps.

Nice place to sleep

Nothing crazy special about this place but it’s clean and right off the highway. The tent sites are a good size and the available was great. All in all I’d stop here for the night, no problem.

Small, Easy to get to, and perfect for

This relatively new KOA is awesome. It’s a Journey but has poured concrete patios, tables and chairs and rockers and propane stoves at the site. Easy on/off to 80. Best place to eat in town - Peppermills

Small spaces

Small spaces for a class A 38’ and towing a Jeep. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Right off highway. Great for a fast stop.

Right Against the Interstate

This KOA had full hook up, and WiFi available. However it was very dusty, right against the interstate, and smelled like the asphalt plant that was apparently near by. We did not check out the laundry or restrooms/showers so can’t say anything about the condition of those.

The high desert

This is is a KOA journey, which means it's a campground to overnight on your way to somewhere else. The interstate is very close, so there's traffic noise. The good though is easy on, easy off. The area is in a drought right now, so no splash pad. Showers work just fine& are clean. Bathrooms are also clean& smell nice. Interior roads& campsite pads are gravel. There's a nice camp store. Staff is friendly& courteous. As for attractiveness, I would say not very. However, I could shower in a clean bathroom& camp in a safe place before leaving the next day. I would recommend for a night

Convenient KOA

This camp site is a bit small but did have pull through spots large enough for our F150 and 37’ trailer. If you have a long setup I suggest bringing an extension cord for your electric. Inexplicably, the pedestal for the electric was pretty close to the front of the pull through. Luckily a fellow camper had a spare extension we could borrow. This site was convenient however for passing through. The sunset was beautiful with the mountains as a backdrop. The park is clean, would stay again.

Canceled cuz wind was a blowin

We made the Rez but when we got there they were going to put us in overflow which was just dirt. With heavy winds it would be horrible to have windows open since sit had no hookups. We canceled and they were very nice about giving refund and anther close by campground name!

Good stopping point for sightseeing

Like the other KOAs in this area, this is certainly not a destination campground. It is however great for an overnight stay and convenient for checking out all the tourist attractions in the area.

They have a nice pavilion, dog park, laundry and the spaces are nice.

Staff was very nice, very friendly and they had little treats when you check in!

Perfect lay over to get to or coming from Yellowstone , Tetons, Big Horns

We woke up and enjoyed most of the first half of the day enjoying Yellowstone. We left Old Faithful around 1:30 to start heading home.

We found the Rawlings KOA a perfect over night rest stop for us. We were heading back to Georgia.

The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The hosts were great to work with and the access to the interstate is crazy easy.

Easy overnight spot for everyone

We showed up after the office closed, but they had a map out for us to find our spot. It was easy to pull in and hookup our trailer. The sites are really clean, and they take pride in their sites here. There’s a little playground for the kids and dog park for the kids. The sites are goons need some leveling for your trailer, just FYI. You’re also really close to the highway so you get a good amount of noise early in the morning.

KOA Exit 214

Sunny and dry and nary a tree in sight. Close to the Interstate. Helpful staff. Just a stop over. No long term joy here.
