This riverside camping area offers beautiful North Platte River access but has recently changed to day-use only according to latest reports. Previous campers noted scattered informal sites with basic pit toilets but no hookups, plus challenges with mosquitoes and weather exposure.

Free campsite right along North Platte River

Followed signs to Sanger Access area, led us to camping area where we saw 3 large campers and one pit toilet. We continued down the road and saw one more camper. We thought that was it then noticed another road a little more rocky but we took it down a ways and saw more camping spots and fire rings, more ideal for tent campers like ourselves. It was very private and right along the river. Beautiful views of canyon walls. Lots of bird songs.

Great Spot!

A little way off of WY-130 on a good dirt road. Good for up to mid-size trailers or smaller. Scattered informal sites, no water or hookups, two pit toilets. Signs indicate that camping is OK. Beautiful location on the North Platte River.

Riverside camp spot

I had a rough time at this campsite, but I don’t want to discount it entirely. There were tons of mosquitoes. My spot was out in the open so when thunderstorms rolled through I opted to sleep in my car. There was a couple different spots, mine was away from some of the seemingly main spots. Beautiful riverside
