Managed by the US Forest Service within Teton National Forest, Curtis Canyon Campsites 15-16 sit at the upper end of a rough, unpaved road that takes roughly an hour to drive from the valley floor. The road is passable in a 2WD vehicle but has caused problems for some drivers, so high clearance helps. Sites 15 and 16 are on the edge of Verizon coverage, and the nearby cul-de-sac overlook, about 100 yards away, tends to get better signal. Expect wind and flies. The overlook also serves as an informal fallback if the designated sites are occupied, which happens, since lower sites sometimes hold tents that appear to have been in place for extended periods. Bring extra patience and a backup plan.
