Buffaloberry Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Managed by the Bureau of Land Management within its Casper Field Office, Buffaloberry Campground sits along a river corridor accessed by a bumpy four-mile road. The campground has four sites, each with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring, plus a vault toilet on-site. Site 1 sits directly on the river; the remaining sites are smaller with river views but positioned along the loop road. Shade is limited, and afternoon sun can be intense. Verizon coverage is reported as adequate. No pets are allowed. Anglers and paddlers have boat-in access to the water. Chalk Bluffs Campground is roughly half a mile south for campers wanting a nearby alternative.

On the River with Pelicans

Fee box at the entrance with instructions. Buffaloberry features four overnight sites with tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, a vault toilet. Stayed at site#1 which was on the river, the other sites are a bit smaller with river views but along the loop road. The river is beautiful. Not much shade and the sun can be hot.

The 4-mile road in is bumpy. Cell coverage for verizon was okay. Pets are welcome.
