Managed by the Bureau of Land Management within its Casper Field Office, Buffaloberry Campground sits along a river corridor accessed by a bumpy four-mile road. The campground has four sites, each with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring, plus a vault toilet on-site. Site 1 sits directly on the river; the remaining sites are smaller with river views but positioned along the loop road. Shade is limited, and afternoon sun can be intense. Verizon coverage is reported as adequate. No pets are allowed. Anglers and paddlers have boat-in access to the water. Chalk Bluffs Campground is roughly half a mile south for campers wanting a nearby alternative.
Description
The Buffaloberry Campground is a great site for picnicking, bank fishing and camping. It is about 12 miles from Alcova. It features four overnight camping sites with tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, a vault toilet and parking. Campsites are first come, first served. There is no water available at this campground. The site is ADA accessible.
