No fees, no toilets, and no pets. Nights can dip into the upper 30s even in midsummer, so layers are worth packing. The site is also a known fishing access point, which means anglers may park near campsites during the day. Buffalo Valley Designated Dispersed Camping to the west and Turpin Meadows Campground slightly further along the same road are worth checking if these sites are full or the road conditions don't suit your rig.

Amazing views and a horse trail!

This is an amazing little dispersed area, the camps are well maintained and the views are unbeatable. We were able to traverse the whole road in a converted B plus class RV, 20" clearance. And our subaru forester w 17' clearance too. The other dispersed road at the beginning of the street wasn't doable for the rig, subaru was fine though (It was fun, too!). We stayed in the corner spot that had a horse trail right through it and were woken up by a group clipping and clopping through :) some people might not like that, but we love horses! We saw some elk splashing in the river and had an easy walk down to the water. Bring bug spray, and be wary of moths they are numerous.

Great spot! Great views!

Only a couple sites have views of the peaks but if you get one it’s an amazing spot! Elk come out along river almost every evening and it’s a short drive to park entrance. Site 3 does not have a bear box so keep that in mind if you stay there. We were there in June and to be expected mosquitoes were pretty bad.

amazing view!!

not much to complain about here! other than the fact that it is a popular fishing spot and you will see a lot of fisherman parking their car by your campsite. there is also only 2 designated camping spots near where i stayed. but this was not a good drive for a big rig, there is a parking lot for bigger campers! didn’t seem too busy we found a perfect spot on a saturday!

GTNP trip

I stayed at pretty much the first campsite you can. It was literally right off the road, but the view was spectacular! Nothing special, it did have a fire ring which I used. There is a trail that I assume goes down to the river. It is a pretty good sized site. Though it was just my car and my tent, it can fit a decent sized trailer. There’s enough room for more than one visitor which causes a few late night visits from weary travelers.

Ok spot, decent views, tough turn around.

I swung by this area on a weekday, scoping out potential spots to camp over the weekend. Road coming in was fine, you'll go past a ranch on the left and see the camp trailhead on the right. The first few spots were taken, FYI, just walk down the road going into 1-3, if you're pulling something or drive anything bigger than a midsize SUV, you might have a nightmare of a time turning around. The first 3 spots were all taken, I had barely enough room to a multi-point turn in my 4runner, I can't imagine what it would be like if I was pulling a trailer. You'll go past a single site & then 4-7 is down the next dirt road, I passed it the first time cause there wasn't any markings. Ended up getting I think site 5, small but was the only available site left. Bring plenty of OFF or a thermacell, the mosquitos here were worse than Shadow Mountain!!! There was a fire ring & a great view of the river, some homes off not too far away, so that made things feel more safe. Zero verizon service after you get off the main road.

Great Location for Outside Grand Teton

For some reason campsites 1-3 aren’t showing up for me but 4-7 are close enough to garner a review of this spot: the camp sites are perfect for free camping for less than a 10 minutes drive away from the Grand Teton park entrance. No fees to camp here, amazing views, fire pits provided with bear storage too. No toilets however so you’ll have to dig a 4-6 foot hole to bury your scat if you’re not in an RV. Still gets very chilly in the summer so bring layers, the night I camped out here got to 37 degrees Fahrenheit
