Right next door, Potawatomi State Park offers several miles of hiking and biking trails, paddling and fishing on Sturgeon Bay, and several picnic areas and playgrounds. Just a few minutes drive away, Gardner Swamp Wildlife Area is a lowland forest and marsh preserve that offers good bird and wildlife watching.
