Right next door, Potawatomi State Park offers several miles of hiking and biking trails, paddling and fishing on Sturgeon Bay, and several picnic areas and playgrounds. Just a few minutes drive away, Gardner Swamp Wildlife Area is a lowland forest and marsh preserve that offers good bird and wildlife watching. There are also several golf courses in the area, as well as fishing in Green Bay for walleye, northern pike, bass and trout.
