Worse place of the trip

Tried to stay here. Called several times. Left several messages. We were heading that way and decided to stop in and see if they had availability. Pulled in and there was a lady inside the office and it was locked. She gave me an evil look then ignored me. Called twice from the parking lot from inside my rig while staring at the woman. She ignored the call.

Great for families

Staff was polite and helpful. They escort you to your spot. They hand out activity sheets for the weekend. Petting zoo, camp store, pool, lake/pond for swimming and fishing. Cell signal for ATT just one bar. No internet. Lots of full time residents. Lots of activities for kids. Pet friendly. They charge extra if you have visitors.

Nice quiet camp

Had a nice pull through spot right across from the bark park. Park was fairly quiet and was well kept.

Camp store was pricey and for the site fee it should be full hookup.

First Timer's

Pleasantly surprised after reading some of prior reviews. Quit place, staff very nice, family friendly, sites are large, plenty of things for kids to do. I would definitely come back.

Not the worst

This place was fine. The staff was helpful. People were friendly. But it's kind of weird and dated. The playground equipment is questionable and the pond (for swimming?) is a very disconcerting color. There is also a pool but we were there in spring and also I probably would not have gone in that either. We didn't have any major issues though, just not as nice as any other place I've been to.

Crowded and Outdated

The campground is very crowded and disorganized. The “pond” to swim in is dyed a very bright fake green color... not a healthy looking place to swim. The bathrooms are very outdated and they charge extra for showering, which is far from all the camping sites. Along one edge of campsites there is a huge cliff-sized drop off, so be cautious if camping with children. The staff is also not very friendly. One star because their campsites have water and electric. This is not a place I will go camping again.

Black listed? For what?

Even though its not that nice of a campground we decided to book with a group of friends but we were blacklisted because we had booked a reservation in june and cancelled (well within the cancellation restrictions) and asked for a refund instead of rescheduling for another date so they blacklisted us. Lmao!! They dont tell you that part of the cancellation "policy". We have been here in the past and its wasnt that nice. The pool is small, the sites are small and the showers and campground is outdated.

great place!

we’ve been RV camping here for 2 months now and love it. the bathrooms are older but still nice and cleaned daily. the pool is fantastic, lots of fun playgrounds around, and there’s a neat walking trail in the woods. super kid friendly, fishing pond/beach. the owners are super nice and will help you if you need anything at all.

Family campground with pool and lake

The campground Happy Acres is in a great location about 15 min from grocery stores and restaurants near Bristol, WI.  It has a pool and lake for swimming.  Lots of big sites but we went on father's day weekend and had encountered drunk people taking our kids to the bathroom at 10pm - they seemed to dissipate but was awkward for kids and felt like I had to chaperone them to the restroom every time.  And the bathrooms really are in need of updating.  The pool was great and thankful it was heated as the weather was cool.  The staff was attentive and made sure we were happy.

Nasty

Very dirty pool, rude owners and don’t bother reserving a specific site because they move people all the time without letting you know. The playground toys are from the 70’s and the rest of the things for the kids are only available on the weekends. So if you are there for a week, everything is closed except the dirty pool. Will never go back.
