I wish i could give them more than 5 stars. This place is amazing. Beautifully kept, gravel roads and site are well maintained. Every site has a concrete patio on it. Its real quiet, no rowdy or loud sites. Everybody was very respectful. The owners were the nicest couple i have ever met at a campground. The husband would make his rounds for trash or dropping off firewood and he would stop and talk for a while, like we had know each other for years. The sunsets will draw you in and the hospitality will make you wanna stay. There are some amazing caves at a state park near by and not to mention all the things to do in Dubuque
Even though its not that nice of a campground we decided to book with a group of friends but we were blacklisted because we had booked a reservation in june and cancelled (well within the cancellation restrictions) and asked for a refund instead of rescheduling for another date so they blacklisted us. Lmao!! They dont tell you that part of the cancellation "policy". We have been here in the past and its wasnt that nice. The pool is small, the sites are small and the showers and campground is outdated.
Words cant describe how bad this place is. My son said it best. He said it looks like a camper graveyard. It was awful. Run down and outdated. Nothing has been maintained in years. They have junk cars everywhere by the office/ rundown barn. They had piles of lumber from what looked to be an deck from a campsite. Im only giving it 1 star because it wont let leave less
