Lake Spokane Campground—Riverside State Park

Boaters and swimmers find direct access to Long Lake at this state park campground, where the boat launch and designated swimming area sit downhill from the camping sites. Lake Spokane Campground—Riverside State Park operates seasonally from mid-May through early October, providing 27 sites with water hookups spread across a wooded setting above the Spokane River.

The campground underwent recent upgrades that transformed the facilities. Four modern bathrooms now feature flush toilets, sinks, and individual showers that operate at no additional charge. Skyla D. notes the "bathrooms were very clean, and the individual showers were free, which was a great bonus." Sites accommodate multiple large tents comfortably, with level ground and adequate vehicle parking. The ADA-accessible site includes its own private gazebo and concrete pad.

Campers drive to the water access area rather than walking from their sites. The swimming zone lacks a gradual entry, making it less suitable for small children, though a single ramp provides water access. Individual gazebos and picnic tables dot the shoreline area, which also includes vault toilets separate from the main campground facilities. Fishing opportunities exist along the water, and several trails connect through the broader state park system.

Cell service varies by carrier, with T-Mobile users reporting reliable coverage while others may find limited connectivity. The campground host provides firewood and ice when fire restrictions allow. Online reservations are recommended since cellular service for last-minute bookings can be spotty. Nanette C. points out that the facility "does not have a RV dump station," requiring campers to plan accordingly.

For a different lakeside experience, Willow Bay RV Resort & Marina offers full hookups and marina services northeast of the area.

Nice camp, need reservations!

You have to pay online but there’s no phone service here! Plan ahead. The spot are spread out and give you elbow room and a good atmosphere. Good dog walking around the area.

Great campsite

We stayed at campsite 7 and had a great experience. The site was flat and spacious—easily fit both of our 12ft Gazelle tents with room to spare, and parking two vehicles was no issue. Bathrooms were very clean, and the individual showers were free, which was a great bonus. No mosquito or tick problems at all during our stay. It’s a family-friendly spot with decent privacy (6/10), low noise, and access to water, swimming, and a nearby boat launch down hill from campground. T-Mobile service worked well, and the site had a good mix of sun and shade. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing view but windy site

We were lucky and got a last minute ADA site. This site was amazingly clean and with its own private gazebo and concrete slab. The 4 newly upgraded bathrooms each have a flush toilet, sink, and accessible shower. The site has an incredible view of Long Lake but it’s a bit windy too. Please note this campground does not have a RV dump station. To access the water it’s best to drive from your campsite. The boat launch and swim area is nice with lots of individual gazebos and picnic tables. The swim area doesn’t appear to be toddler friendly as it isn’t a gradual incline into the water. There is a single ramp for access however. The restrooms here are 2 vault toilets. We would probably visit this location again.

Quiet refuge

Only about 45 min north of Spokane- quiet spot on the lake and nicely maintained campground.

I had planned to stay at Bowl and Pitcher but gates were locked when I arrived around dusk. Rolled in here and there were plenty of spots open (weeknight) all first come first serve for $27.

Beautiful camp ground

The camp ground is tiny but well worth the visit whether you're boating, swimming, or just wanting to get to get out of town. Friendly care takers and rangers.

Amazing getaway campground!

Me & my friend booked this campsite last summer and i have to say this was by far one of the most eventful camping getaway trips i've been apart of! I was greeted with very thoughtful and caring staff who all obviously care allot about the campground. The bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day which got rid of my fear of a gross abandoned bathroom. The camp ground we stayed at was maintained nicely and was very spacious where we weren't too close to our neighbors but were close enough to holler some of our camp fire stories around night time. The park by the lake was very well taken care of as most of the campers there spent the day swimming in the nice gated off swim section at the lake. Overall the time we spent there was well worth it! Anyone looking for a nice friendly getaway camping spot in eastern washington I highly recommend this campground!

Lovely Washington Camping:)

My family and friends go camping here at least three times every summer. The sites are a good size we normally have 3 tents on each site and our tents are big tents. It's not far from home and the host is awesome:) There's a nice swimming area and I hear that the fishing is great although I haven't done it myself. They also have ice and firewood available just in case you forget to bring it.

Beautiful eastern Washington campground

This is a wonderful spot to camp. Me and my family go here at least 3 times a year. We alwaysstay at least 2 night here. It has a beautiful swimming area and boat launch. This year they put in flush toilets and showers. The camp host is amazing. She always comes by with firewood (when we can have them) and she has popsicles for the kids too.

Clean and Comfortable

This campground is pretty basic for a State campground. Pricing is reasonable and sites are evenly spaced. There are many picnic areas to choose from and trails that you can spend your day on. Situated next to the Spokane River, great scenery.
