Great Place to Rest

The only negative is the beach is small, the campground doesnt have any extra hiking.

It was very relaxing

On Lake Enjoyment in

We stayed here for a couple of nights using it as a base for hiking. It’s good for that but what’s really great is the access to Baker Lake. Bring your paddle board or kayak as this CG has good access into the lake. For us it was a cold plunge after long hot hiking days. The camp host was very nice…

Great campground for working remotely

I camped here on a whim, last minute, last July. We didn’t plant it. Purely by luck and chance we were able to score a site here after cancellations due to wildfires and Hwy 20 closure on the east side of the park. We stayed in a few sites at Newhalem CG this way, some were pull-into (or back into)…

  • pull through site - we chose to pull in from the sides
  • back-in site - we lucked out as the neighbors on both sides didn’t show up so there was some privacy, would have felt a bit cramped otherwise
  • long pull-through site

Nice farmstead and friendly, accommodating owners

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow, were meeting friends in the area, as well as Mt. Baker. We were in site 6 for 4 days in early September. Most of the campsites are nice and grassy with trees, but fairly close together. Ours was gravel and apart from the others,…

Nice setting - few sewer sites

This is my first time using a thousand trails membership so I didn’t know what to expect. The overall campground is nice with almost all of the sites being surrounded by trees or a view of the bay. But I was disappointing to find that the few sites that have a sewer connection were all taken and no…

Primitive

This isn’t exactly a campsite, more so a spot people end up camping at, before a long hike. The hike up to the site was very simple and easy and the actual hike itself was beautiful. It was annoying that we had to hike up to the site itself, but it isn’t too long about an hour and a half. Overall,…

Nice Rangers

We originally were going to stay for 2 weeks (but the Campground we were going to afterward was closed by corporate for electrical repairs) so the very nice park ranger, Linda, was able to extend our stay here another week. There are a limited number of sewer sights you can get on a wait list for.…

Cranberry Lake campground - Deception Pass, WA

Beautiful area with lots to do. Electric, water hookups with sewage dump on the way out. Campsites are not level and can be a tight fit between trees. Lots of different beach trails & bike paths. Whale watching excursions nearby. Cell service spotty.

Nice facilities!

Great set up for a small park with small sites. There are trees between every camp spot to add privacy. Best part is that the restrooms are clean and the showers are free. There is a store and a laundry also on site.

Great place

Very nicely kept facilities with beautiful flower beds. Each site has full hookups. Open space but not a parking lot.

Small, safe, friendly feel

There was only one site available when i was looking for a site (looking in June for August trip). Coming to the campground, i saw that at least 2 sites were unoccupied, so people didn’t show up. I would recommend if they sent a reminder email because people do forget, especially when booking…
