Lovely wild camping

Beautiful BLM area! Plenty of drive-in areas and tons of land around the lake to access. The single vault toilet is down at the lake, but helpful if needed. We will be back!

Welcome to the Wild West - Beautiful but Busy

At first glance, Cow Lake is a beautiful and secluded oasis tucked away in the scablands of Eastern Washington.

However, the area is a very popular local fishing and recreation spot and gets crowded on the weekends.

Cow Lake is about 10 miles east of Ritzville and is a free, dispersed camping…

Would pick else where

A lot of rules at this camp ground because it’s attached to a county park. No alcohol at all and they check Quiet hours are VERY strict even when no one else is by you. You can camp by the water but can’t swim by the camp ground only In designated swim zone

Lonesome

If you like being almost completely alone, this is your spot! They sites aren’t very huge and private, but that doesn’t matter because you will most likely have the whole campground to yourself. Only a fisherman or two may be there. The lakes crystal clear water is beautiful. There is a pretty nice…

Not so hidden gem

This little campground/RV resort is just off a freeway & lots of trains travel close by....BUT, if u live nearby & are up for a last minute camp trip, this place satisfies! I don't fish, but I'm told they catch em off the docks. The host keeps things real clean/nice looking, and I'll bet u…

Camping courtesies

Tent sites are super close together, only about 15ft from firepit to firepit . With so little of space between site beware .Our camping neighbors were very noisy and up till 4am drinking and partying

Lot of green lawns and water

Stayed here for four nights. Arrived on Friday and it’s a busy, fun place over the weekend. Emptied out on Sunday and only a few campers left Monday and Tuesday. Electric and water hookups. Dumping for gray and black water on site. Wonderfully delightful camp host. Lot of opportunities for…

Simple and quite

Short distance from I-90. Easy access. Simple and quite with wildlife viewing at the old homestead and pond. Nice stop and peaceful overnight.

Primitive BLM dispersed campsite with with lots of hiking trails

30 minutes from Spokane and just a few miles off I-90 this is a great area for winter and spring camping and hiking. The lake is open for winter season fishing but closes March 31. There is usually lots of day hike activity, but not much overnight camping.

There are no real amenities except an…

  • The waterfall at the NE end of Hog Canyon lake. This is on
private property so please respect that. There are nice photo
opportunities from the overlook.
  • Nice hammock hang sites between Ponderosa Pines.
  • Lots of flat areas for tents.

Great hidden spot

This is a great mostly unknown little campground. Fun fact: This is the least used campsite maintained by the Lower Granite Natural Resources Management team.

Let’s get to the bad/good, depending on how you look at it.

1. There is NO running water available, unless you want to get some from…

Current Fire Ban

8/28 Gravel road back to campsites. We ended up just camping in the main area by the lake trail loop as the road gets progressively worst after & didn't want to drag our rig down there. Stayed here as an easy spot to get here outside Spokane.

Beautiful campground has it all!

Love this campground and will come back. My husband and I usually pull our ‘68 Aristocrat Lo-Liner but on this trip we were “roughing it” with a tent and a small SUV. I was happy that not only did we get a spot on the river, but there were free, clean hot showers centrally located. The back in…
