Best Cabin Camping near Airway Heights, WA

We have stayed at. Peaceful at night, nice pines surrounding sites, friendly and attentive staff, and a ton of activities. Pool, hot tub, nice lake for fishing and boating, laundry facilities that take cards, and everything else that KOAs offer.

We stayed one night in a deluxe cabin. It was spacious enough, with a partial kitchen, AC, and full bath. The grounds are well-kept but older. The cabin was tired—cabinets with loose hinges, squeaky bed, tub drain was slow, WiFi wasn’t working. Each cabin has a propane grill and the one by ours was too dirty to use. There is no shade on the cabins or many of the tent sites and it’s often so hot here in the summer that the AC can’t cool very well. It was 82 in our cabin despite running the AC and keeping all the blinds closed. The pool is clean but very cold and there is no shade on the playground so go in the morning or evening if you don’t want to get burned. Nothing nearly except a Wendy’s and a convenience store. Trains going by all night nearby.
Fine for one night, but don’t recommend an extended stay Note: they do not allow EV charging but there is no written policy anywhere on the website or in any of the registration emails.

A super sweet cabin out west sort of vibe, convenient to the freeway but removed from the city

This campground has been around for awhile, but is under new ownership. It’s a really unique spot right on the shores of Loon Lake in Washington State. It’s a bit remote for one night, but if you’re planning a family reunion over a long weekend or something, this would be a great spot.

They’ve got a variety of accommodations — RV spots for those that use them, plus more permanent structures like “vintage cabins and retro apartments” (this sounds a little suspicious, but I swear, they’re good enough as long as you bear in mind that this is a campground. They even have a cafe and a little store so you only have to rough it solo as much as you want to.

They have a little marina with boat slips if you have your own, or you can rent from them and take advantage of everything the lake has to offer. Due to the remote location compared to other lakes closer to the Washington State metro areas, there aren’t a ton of people on the water here at any time of year, even during holidays.

I’m not sure how tent camping would work here, I’m sure they would find a way to accommodate it if you wanted to try, but if I was in a group sans RV I’d probably splurge on a cabin and call it a day.

Water is a bit of walk from camping area, but overall thai campground is great. Hiking, fishing, swimming. Is a great place to rent a cabin with children and enjoy nature close to city.

This is a military recreation center, it is open to active and retired military and their families. It has several camping sites, a boat launch, a fishing dock, picnic areas, and a snack bar. There are also cabins available but usually require reservations far in advance.

This Spot i have been going to for 35 + years its operated by the county and a fee of 25 dollars is charged for basic dirt camping spot, more for RV and cabins. Sandy beach, amazing hikes through ancient ceder Forrest. For an urban campground I think this is as good as it gets.

My and my lady like this place a lot! Nicely maintained facilities and bathrooms with hot showers. We got there late in the evening with no reservations but we were lucky enough to go online and book it on the spot. There are a few options. RV's and cabins. We got a tent spot, they're fenced to separate everyone. Don't quote me but I think they have canoes for people to use and a waterway to the beautiful lake. Felt safe here. I'll be coming back if I ever venture this way.

We live in Spokane and this is a nice quick weekend getaway for us. We have camped at Little Diamond numerous times. Friendly staff and good sized spots. Showers and bathrooms are clean.

Cute campground with plenty to do and lots of amenities. Canoe and float rentals, live music on weekends. Full hook ups, clean showers and laundry too. It was perfect for our quick stop over. Only downside was no fire rings.

The camping, the grounds and the amenities are fantastic.  The staff go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need.  The access to the lake with free canoe rental and FREE firewood are things we have not encounter anywhere else.  Although we only stayed for the night, I would not hesitate to stay for a week(s)

Great Place!

I stayed in the tent part of the campground, and the sites (especially the first few) are awfully close. This is a great campground for camping with friends but I don't recommend it for a quiet getaway.

Regardless, I still enjoyed my time with my dog and the tent sites were nicely shaded so I wasn't baking in them. There's many hiking trails nearby to explore and you're walking distance from the lake.

Liberty Lake is great for a quick get away if you have a camping itch that you need to scratch. It is easy to get to and has everything you need. It can be crowded and the sites aren’t secluded but is beautiful in the summer and close to the lake.

The bathrooms are always clean, there’s showers, and firewood for purchase. The hiking and biking trails are solid and the waterfall is amazing.

All in all, you can’t go wrong with Liberty Lake.

This place had everything i could possibly want for an affordable price. Boat, kayak and other equipment rentals, restaurant, bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, fishing dock, swimming area, shaded lawns and picnic tables. Only $15 for a dry tent space with shade and view of the lake! Why not give it 5 stars? The visitors are primarily young, drinking, playing loud music, driving fast and kicking up dust. It was annoying but tolerable. Staff was kind, knowledgeable, location is close to I90 and easy to find. Easily a few hundred people here on a summer weekend, so be prepared. Be sure to check out the turtles swimming around the dock. Lots of wildlife.

Nice little place in the Spokane Valley close to shopping Idaho boarder. Has small outdoor pool bike rentals. Good bathroom and showers. Down side right next to train tracks though thr train didn't go by much during the day but of course it did at night blasting it's horn every time. It's a good enough place for a quick stop over on tour way to some other place not good for long stay. They did let us move to a bigger spot once we realized how close we were to our neighbors and the e kids we needed a little bigger spot and not a small patch of lawn with the neighbors slide-out 2ft from out picnic table
