Sage Hills Golf Club & RV Resort

    Nice Golf Course

Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort in Warden, WA (near Moses Lake) is located right off WA-17, and arriving from the south we turned at the golf course sign and followed the dead-end road up to the campground and golf course parking area. Check-in was a bit rocky: we’d prepaid for end cap pull-Through site 31 (FHUs/ 30 AMP), but someone else was in the site, so after some phone calls and a 45-minute wait we were reassigned to pull-through Site 35 with FHUs and 50 AMP(they said they’d adjust the bill for the change, but that never happened). Per comments during check-in, they seldom monitor their online reservations. Once settled, utilities were centered on the pad, though the electric pedestal sat low to the ground, making surge protector hookup a little awkward but workable. We had 2 bars on Verizon, 3 bars on T-Mobile, and used our T-Mobile Home Internet (about 6 Mbps down); campground WiFi was around 3 Mbps—fine for light browsing and email. Water pressure was decent, there are mature trees but we still could have used Starlink if needed, and the laundry (decent with 2 washers & 2 dryers) and restroom/shower facilities are located on the side of the check-in building. Being near a dairy farm, we occasionally noticed odor and had quite a few non-biting black flies during our stay. There were plenty of areas to walk our dog. The highlight here is the golf course, which was very nice and made the stay worthwhile overall.

    Potholes State Park Campground

    Great fishing

If you have a boat and know how to fish, this lake it is a great spot. For a dock you need to go to Mardon Resort just down lake, but you need to rent a camp site to use it. This is not a swimming lake. It is a seep lake from irrigated farms and direct irrigation from Coulee dam.  In August and September the lake is quite low and may be difficult to launch a boat. Great store nearby and a 2 restaurants. Lots of grass to run your dog too.

    Drug infested

We booked site 42...there was no site 42. There is trash everywhere. Dilapidated trailers. Office was closed when we arrived at 2pm. My husband was being stared down by a couple of men. We left

    Threemile Canyon Park

    Convenient Camping Off I-84

This spot was great for an overnight stay! Gravel lot and some small pull outs with plenty of space for multiple rigs. There was a vault toilet available for use, which was pretty clean. This is a pack it in, pack it out area, so be prepared to take your trash with you! No fires allowed! We pulled in around 9:00 PM and there were maybe 5 others there set up. It was pretty quiet, but there was some road noise, and you could hear the train when it went by, but we didn’t think it was bad at all. We also woke to gunshots in the distance early in the morning due to some others hunting, didn’t bother us at all though. Definitely a great spot if you want to do some fishing, as there is access to a boat ramp/dock and the lot is adjacent to the water… Overall we thought it was a pretty great spot for a free overnight stay and it comes with a nice view!

    Plymouth Park Campground

    Nice for a day

The sites are level and paved, easy for any size rig. But there is little to no shade, and the sites have no space between or privacy.

Lawns are irrigated and green so that is a nice touch. Host is sweet and seems to be on top of things

Campsites are large. And level. There’s lots of grass picnic tables fire pit. there’s a walking trail along the river and it’s close to town. There are clean restrooms with free showers and paid laundry facility. Seems to work pretty well.

What to do

Water recreation access: Hood Park provides direct access to the Snake River with a designated swimming area. Wine tasting tours: Many campgrounds serve as convenient bases for visiting local wineries. A visitor at Wine Country RV Park notes, "This could be a nice basecamp spot for people who love exploring wineries. The small town of Prosser has almost 30 wineries and tasting rooms in the immediate area and this park is in the midst of them all."

Sports complex activities: Franklin County RV Park offers proximity to sporting venues. One camper reports, "We stayed here during a baseball tournament and you couldn't beat the convenience of walking over to the Pasco sports complex. Plus we caught a dust devils game and just had to walk across the parking lot."

What campers like

Riverside locations: Waterfront campsites remain popular for their convenience and scenery. A Beach RV Park visitor states, "Great site off the freeway- but because it's close, you'll hear cars all night. We were the only tent campers so we had a bunch of space. Fire rings and picnic tables at every site as well as a bunch of firewood."

Clean facilities: Well-maintained bathrooms and showers rank highly in camper reviews. At Horn Rapids RV Resort, a camper reports, "The bathrooms are spotless. There's plenty of them too. The community lounge is big and clean with a kitchen and sofas, TV, and tables."

Level, spacious sites: Campers appreciate properly designed parking areas. At Pasco Tri-Cities KOA, a reviewer notes, "We never even unhooked the trailer but was spot on level. The park is pretty packed with many long-term residents visible through more permanent porches, 100 gallon propane hook up, and lots of potted plants."

Family-friendly amenities: Recreation facilities for children receive positive mentions. One visitor to Columbia Sun RV Resort comments, "Has all the amenities and activities you want in a semi-urban RV resort / glamping get away. Heated pool and hot tub, game room and more."

What you should know

Weather considerations: The region experiences temperature extremes and wind. A Horn Rapids visitor explains, "The sprinklers go on in the middle of the day. So if you are doing anything outside there is a good hour break to avoid the irrigation water."

Road noise: Many sites experience traffic sounds due to proximity to highways. A Beach RV Park camper notes, "Great site off the freeway- but because it's close, you'll hear cars all night."

Fire restrictions: Fire policies vary between campgrounds. A visitor at Wine Country RV Park explains, "No firepits but we knew that before going - brought a propane fire pit with us."

Tips from RVers

Pull-through accessibility: Level, easy-access sites save setup time. A Horn Rapids visitor notes, "Great spot, clean facilities, horse trails and boat ramp. I've stayed here many times and feel it's under utilized."

Hookup availability: Full-service sites provide maximum convenience. One visitor to the Pasco KOA comments, "There is both dumpsters onsite but also site pickup of garbage by the park. That's a nice unexpected service. The pool and laundry closes at 8pm but the showers are open 24 hours."

Parking considerations: RV sites vary in size and layout. A Wine Country RV Park camper advises, "Premium sites have concrete pads while the lower cost sites are just gravel. The pads are mostly level, but slope upwards in some spots so unhitching can be just a little tricky."
