Fishing draws most visitors to Hog Lake, a BLM-managed dispersed campground outside Sprague in eastern Washington. Campsites are well-spaced, which gives each site a degree of separation from neighbors. One consistent noise source: train whistles audible from camp. The site can be tricky to locate, so cross-reference Google Maps with the BLM guidebook before heading out. Campers looking to explore the area may also want to check out Fishtrap Lake BLM Recreation Area, roughly 3.6 miles southwest, though note that camping is not permitted at the Fishtrap Lake trailhead itself.
