I loved the seclusion. But you have to walk to the site

Friendly park

There are many seasonal campers but not many were at their campers. We had a quiet pull through on the top of the hill which was actually a buddy site with two hookups along the length. Great if camping with friends.

Clean well managed campground

Overall campground is clean. Sites are gravel and fairly level. WiFi is good. Bathhouses are clean and adequate. Good location close to I81 but little road noise. I did hear a train.

Real Nice

Really Nice Campground. There is some construction going on, on the lake but I’m sure it’ll be ready for summer. Bathrooms were very clean!

Would be really nice come the summer for sure. I love it!!!!

Will definitely return!

Pros outweighed the cons.

Good: Staff was amazing! Trash pickup daily. Level sites. Nice little general store. 9-hole disc golf course. Dog park and playground centrally located. Quiet. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc.

Bad (if they can be called “bad”): We were excited about cable and wi-fi as a new perk. Could not get cable to work and wi-fi was spotty at our site. Had great signal in other parts of the campground though, and cell reception was strong. Roads were narrow to navigate and some sites quite short in length.

Scenic, Clean and Friendly!

Easy access from highway, level spots to set up. Very quiet at night. Well manicured property with a stream, pool and other facilities. Only downside……the WIFI, like most campgrounds best to bring your own. Beautiful campground with friendly staff!

Scenic clean campground

Enjoyed our stay at this campground! Office is open until 8pm which is rare. Sites are clean and flat. Pull thru and back in slots available. There is a lovely creek running through portions of the campground. Showers and bathrooms were relatively clean. Didn't use the pool. Dog park and playground were nice features. Overall, good value for the sites and amenities.

Ok…

The campsites are very close to each other and the roads are very narrow. We can’t even extend our awning due to through traffic. If you’re on the left side of the road and another camper parks their truck with their camper on the other side, it totally blocks the “lake” view so we’ve stared at a truck every meal outdoors. Very nice pool though.

Family Friendly campground

We had a great time camping here. The playground and pool were great for the kids. My dog also enjoyed having a space to roam in the park. My only complaint is the grass was not cut which was a bit uncomfortable. Spaces are very close together, but we still enjoyed our time.

New owners improving this one!

While my initial feeling was one of a run down campground, it's obvious the new owners are working to make it better. The bathhouse is nice as is the pool. The store was sparse but adequate. The lawns were kept up and looking good. There is a very nice playground and a pet exercise area. You can fish in the lake though we didn't catch anything. Wifi is free and open so no password and therefore, not secure. Trash picked up each day. Our site 33 was full hookup and a very nice, mostly level, spacious, and had a covered picnic table on a deck. Not all sites have full hookup. It was separated from the site on one side and close to the site on the back side. My only complaint is about the people who walked past our site along the lake side (about 10 ft. between our sitting area and the lake and even less from our picnic table) when 2 other sides of the lake were wide open with no camping near the lake. Not the campgrounds fault.

The sites along the lower area near the lake were shaded mostly, some more than others, while the sites up the hill at the top and near the front entrance (pull through sites) were not shaded much. There are cabins for rent as well up on the top of the hill.  Overall, a nice campground with potential and the new owners are doing a good job.

Exceptionally clean campground!

We only stayed 1 night as we were passing through to our final destination. Staff was very friendly and the park was one of the cleanest parks I’ve been to. The bath houses were pristine.

Nice Little Park

Access was easy. The campground was busy and everything was clean and neat. The sites were a little tight. We were there for the local hiking so we didn't spend too much tie in the park.  I parked a little goofy it seems so I needed a little extra footage for my electrical hookup.  They were kind enough to loan us a 25' extension.

Very nice clean rv park

Located within minutes of I81. We stopped for 2 nights to see the Shenandoah National Park on our way to NC. Called last minute and got a site. Very nice customer service. Grounds were very well kept. Our site 112 had water, 50amp and cable. Dump station on premises. Nice dog park for our fur babies and doggie duty stations with bags in several locations throughout the park. Also had a cute playground for kiddos. Didn't use the pool so can't comment. A little highway noise but when windows and door were closed couldn't hear a thing. We'd stay here again. They honor Good Sam discount. Paid $38 with discount.

Lovely campground near I-85 with both long-term and short-term sites.

We stayed here several times in an RV.  Short-term sites are in the very front but you do have to take a circuitous route through the campground to get back to that area after checking in.  Many long-term sites (lots of weekenders) around the lake and up in the hilly area.  Short-term sites are electric and water only but there is a free dump station down in the back. There is a pool and they also sell propane.  Due to the COVID rules their pool may not be open 2020.  Friendly staff and very quiet for overnighters.  Easy access from I-85.  Not sure about tenting as were RV only.  Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

They used to be a KOA but dropped their membership last year because some of KOAs rulesjust didn't make sense for them.
