Sunset views

Nice free overnight parking spot. Public boat ramp so people will be in and out of the water at all hours of the day, not quiet. Beautiful sunsets if you can arrive in time for them. May want to watch for low overhangs if your vehicle is over 12ft tall.

Scenic clean campground

Enjoyed our stay at this campground! Office is open until 8pm which is rare. Sites are clean and flat. Pull thru and back in slots available. There is a lovely creek running through portions of the campground. Showers and bathrooms were relatively clean. Didn't use the pool. Dog park and playground were nice features. Overall, good value for the sites and amenities.

Problems abound

The front desk staff was helpful when calling for an after hour check-in and the maintance staff responded quickly to issues. But that is the end of the good. 1) the restrooms and showers were disgusting and in ill-repair. I've used truck stop showers and restrooms all over the country. These were some of the worst facilities I've ever seen. 2) late arrival and get situated only to find the breaker broken. Maintance moved us spots rather quickly though. Just exhausting to come to a stop for the night and have to deal with issues. 3) spots were not level but were shaded. 4)NO signage and / or not visible at night. 5) overpriced for gross amenities

Clean, shaded, and quiet!

Loved this quaint quiet campground! Very clean and reasonably priced!

A few things to note if you are more on the camper van - primitive side of things

  • if you use the on site showers, there are two settings, scalding and freezing. -the "basic" 30amp site did not provide a 120volt plug-in. It looks like only the deluxe spots offer this (upcharge).
  • the staff is extremely "helpful". Allows after hour check-ins but you need to call before you arrive and then they show the spot. It is a small park, not hard to navigate. After a long day of hiking or traveling I don't need small talk with a stranger just to park my camper… But I'm an introvert so the noseyness gets old … fast.
