Beautiful views. Adjacent to a working farm where cows, sheep, llamas, chickens and roosters can graze next to the campsites.
The grounds were beautifully manicured and incredibly clean.
It also had the largest dog park area of any campground I’ve ever seen.
Very nice pool, friendly staff and…

Campground was fair, nice flat sites, semi wooded. Grass wasnt cut anywhere around our site and camp hosts were not our favorite. Beach was absurdly busy.
We came the first weekend in April and it snowed. Being that you are at the top of the mountain, it gets COLD so be prepared. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time. Sites were great (bear boxes at each site), friendly rangers and wonderful views. I recommend getting a site in advance because the…
The sites are okay- level, some shade- but felt like we were on top of people. The shower house needs work- no ventilation makes for a stifling shower and bathroom use. The swimming “lake” cools ya off but is pretty dirty- had to wash my suit twice to get it clean. They had a band one night we were…
With large, private sites this campground is perfect for camping! We never heard from the neighbors and I don't believe our constant activity created a problem for them either. The sites were made of crushed rock, very flat, and the RV sites included water, electricity, a picnic table, poles for…

Huge number of sites situated in an open area with some trees. Our reserved site, E172, was on a sloping, crumbling asphalt pad and we couldn't get our 17' travel trailer level. We almost left but heard by word of mouth that C loop is first come first served so we ended up in C130 on a relatively…
Beautiful Shenandoah National Park.
We were tent camping with two young kids on site 93. Sites are hit and miss depending on what you’re looking for. Some are larger than others. 93 was fine except no trees to hang hammocks (which the kids were looking forward to) and the space for the tent was…

It was awesome weekend, went tubing ,played putt putt, went fishing,,
Great experience here.
We went hammock camping here at Loft Mountain on a Friday night and packed up Saturday morning. We had to pay to get into Shenandoah, and then pay the camping fee for loft mountain.
We arrived around noon and with the hopes of getting a good first-come, first serve…
What a nice park and campground.
Wood is $7 a bundle and they don’t want you collecting. Deer everywhere and the occasional bear.
The meadow is just beautiful. A real nice spot an hour after dark for stars.
Try the 150 yard “hike” to Blackrock (next to the lodge) for an unforgettable…
A bear ran through the campground so that was really cool. Wonderful campground with nice hikes. Kids love it. The lake is pretty. Out in the rustic wilds. Just what camping should be. Bring everything you need bc there’s nothing there.
I love Big Meadows on the Sky Line Drive. Really beautiful. Fresh air. Hikes galore. Wonderful night programs. It’s just special being in a National Park. Sites vary but NO hook ups. Pay showers.
This is a nice, clean campground. They recently expanded it, so there are additional sites. It’s small, but we did not feel cramped or too close to others. The hooks were the closest we have ever had - which is very nice! Our cable didn’t work and normally we wouldn’t care, but it was a rainy…

The sites were very generous in size - not cramped at all! Sites were partially shaded and backed up to woods. Lots of beautiful hiking/biking/equestrian trails to explore. Bathrooms were very clean and nice. Bundles of firewood sold $7 each. Nice fire ring at each site. Pet friendly. Will…
