Small town relaxation
This was the first campground we got to try in Virginia and it did not disappoint! There’s a lot of ppl who stay here long term bc it’s so great. A train goes by across the river every few hrs and we love hearing it! The water is clear and so fun to cool off in. The bathrooms aren’t far. The owner is so friendly and lives on the grounds. He sells wood and has a small store. The only negative for me is no picnic table but we bring a folding one now! The palisades are gorgeous and a must see!!

Friendly place
Camped out for one night, great place. Owners are real friendly, they have a store as well. The trains though! My dog did not appreciate them, but overall nice place.

Riverside
Such a great stay! We booked a campsite last minute with this campground and we couldn’t have been happier. The owner was nothing short of accommodating. Such a friendly guy. The campsite was great! Right up against the river with beautiful mountain back drop. Most camp sites have electricity and a fire pit. Would definitely go back!

Location
Eggleston Springs Campground is located in Virginia
Directions
We are located a little over 4 miles from Rt. 460 and 8 miles from Rt. 100. Eggleston road is curvy at parts and drivers with bigger campers need to be advised. We frequently accommodate up to 42' fifth wheels, but we still like to warn people about the curves. We do not recommend any of the larger Class A motorhomes trying to make the trip. You will see a sign at both entrances onto Eggleston Rd. that says that the road is not recommended for tractor trailers.
