      Town Hall Road Dispersed

      Secluded, scenic, and peaceful

      Pretty primitive sites, small pull in spaces and rock fire rings. But the area is beautiful and secluded, definitely enjoyed staying here and chilling at the creek, I doubt it’s any good for fishing though. Wouldn’t recommend for large setups, definitely no trailers, vans or camper trucks are the biggest vehicles I’d feel comfortable taking there, the drive wasn’t bad, but depending on which site you get you may be struggling to fit your rig.

      Country Bumpkins Campground and Cabins

      Owner/operator is terrible

      We showed up early (10:50 am) and asked to check in prior to the 12 pm check-in time. The owner was working and she told us we could not. I walked over and saw that our site was empty, so my wife asked the owner again if we could check in early as there was nobody there and we had two 16-mo babies who were ready to get out of the car. She then kicked us off the property. This was on a festival weekend with nowhere else to stay, and I told her that. The owner did not care and we had to drive 2 ours home.

      Dry River Campground — Crawford Notch State Park

      Great simple camping

      This is a great simple campground, near a lot of hiking trails. The campground was very clean, and has hot showers and washer/dryers (coin operated) available. Most sites have a lot of privacy. We stayed at #20. This was probably one of the biggest sites there, I think it was meant for popups or 5th wheelers, but we stayed in a tent. Only complaint for the site was that there was a lot gravel, so a little uncomfortable having a tent set there (so I would probably choose another site on the campground for a tent). Also, we did see a bear one morning, our dog barked at it and it walked off. Just be mindful of picking up trash, and don’t have any food in your tent. Theres a dumpster at the entrance you can use. Overall it was a great campground, I would stay again.

      Elbow Pond Road Dispersed Site

      Now This Is Dispersed Camping

      No toilet, no showers, no Wi-Fi, no electricity Love it I’ve been primitive camping since before I could walk and def glad this app exist

      First use of the app and found the perfect spot away from my friends Airbnb and still close enough to go hangout with them. The site is the perfect size for a single or couple and it gives off the right kind of privacy

      Went on a weekend and it was still very peaceful! Lots to do on such a beautiful back road. We stayed at two different sites each night we were there and both were equally beautiful and peaceful

      Moose Brook State Park Campground

      Like Dispersed Camping... For $42

      Pros: We have the p lube nearly to ourselves, thus it was very similar to dispersed camping. Nice little campground with two small ponds (One for fishing, the other for swimming). Nothing very remarkable, though.

      Cons: As others have mentioned, if you want flush toilets and pay showers, you have to either stay at the more crowded, larger loop or walk across the highway to get to those amenities.

      Twin Mountain Campground

      Lovely and peaceful

      It was everything we were looking for, right on the river, quiet and clean, the section we stayed in was all tent camping so we weren’t sandwiched in between a bunch of RVs blocking the view. There was no lights, generators or loud music. Alcohol wasn’t permitted so that really cuts down on a lot of unnecessary nonsense. Pets are permitted and our dog loved it. It was very pleasant and relaxing. Can’t wait to go back.

      Town Hall Road Dispersed

      Dispersed it is!

      Stayed 8 nights with complete solitude. Bugs weren't too bad. There were plenty of dead birch trees and beech trees for firewood. Not any evergreens though. Site 16 has two campsites. I took the further one with plenty of room. Good size fire pit, but people before me left some large pieces of wood not completely put out along with lit coals.
