Crazy Horse Family Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Set in the foothills outside Littleton, New Hampshire, Crazy Horse Family Campground sits in a mix of forested and open terrain that gives campers a choice between shaded wooded sites and more exposed field-side spots. The campground accommodates RVs up to 64 feet with full electric, water, and sewer hookups, and staff will help position larger rigs on arrival. It runs year-round, drawing snowmobilers in winter and tent campers through the warmer months.

Sites vary in size and layout. Pull-throughs with pine tree shade are available, and Randy R. describes being "assisted backing into a spacious wooded site," which speaks to the hands-on approach owners take with guests. A pool, playground, and organized activities like bingo and corn hole tournaments have made the campground a repeat destination for families. Note that the pool sustained winter damage as of 2024, so it is worth confirming availability before booking.

A reservoir nearby gives anglers and paddlers a practical reason to visit, and the area around Littleton provides access to hiking trails and kayaking put-ins. The town itself is a short drive away for resupply. Campers looking at campgrounds near Littleton will find Crazy Horse is one of the more amenity-rich options in the area, with WiFi, hot showers, a dump station, and a camp store on site.

Two bathrooms serve the entire grounds, which reviewers flag as a limitation during busy weekends. Reservations are accepted and recommended, especially for fall foliage season when the campground draws larger groups.

Very nice place

Couple-owned and very attentive. He assisted me backing into a spacious wooded site. You can also be on a nice field or on the edge. Pool was damaged during winter and not available. 2024

Great family campground

First time camping here! Our site was a pull thru with shade from the pine trees. The owners are really nice. We participated in the build your own sundae, which was delicious! Definitely going back again!

Friendly clean campground

Visited this campground during a rally from our camping society. The staff and the owners were very friendly and helpful when needed. The site was very leveled and cleaned. The campground has a wooded area which makes you feel you’re camping in the forest. There is a lake where those who like to go kayaking or fishing can easily have access. There are wooded trails with beautiful views. Highly recommend it.

Words Really Can’t Describe!

Crazy Horse Campground: Let me start off by saying that there is a certain special something about the staff & seasonal campers at this campground! There’s a hearty, happy feeling shared when you interact with others here, for sure :) From the phone call to reserve the site until the very last moment on the campground when we stopped by the office at check out, the owners made us feel so comfortable!!

Pros: Hot showers (bring quarters & run hot water in sink for 4-5 mins before turning shower on & the shower water will warm up way faster), family-friendly, welcoming staff, pool, activities for kids (candy bar bingo) & adults (corn hole tournament), family activities (DJ on some Saturday evenings), camping store, late check-in, clean bathrooms, clean/well-maintained campground, trailer rentals, firewood purchased on campground delivered by staff, attentive owners that genuinely care for the campers, reinforcement of quiet hours, owners keep watch over those entering campground to ensure only registered campers are coming in, separation between sites is pretty decent, dish sink to do your dishes in, playground with a large field for kids to run around in, open all year round, 10 minute drive to Dunk’s & Walmart. On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, they do Trick or Treating & a Kid’s hayride that will be a walk instead of a hayride this year to respect social distancing.

Cons: Only 2 bathrooms on entire grounds, would be nice if the dish sink had hot water.

We are SO pleased & booked another wknd in October on our way out, which we have never done at any campground before so I think we found a new favorite!

Fun family camping

Great campground, friendly campers and owners. Had a great set up for family camping. Fun activities for the kids and adults. The reservoir right down the street and had great fishing and a good place to cool off with the dogs. Will definitely be back.

Very nice mostly wooded campground

This campground is nestled in the mountains, it is open year round as snowmobilers go in the winter, there are many seasonals but well kept for sure.  The owners are very nice and are available for you at anytime really if there is a problem.   We come up with a group we belong to for the last 3 or 4 years and have enjoyed it thoroughly each time.  Electric, Water and Sewer available.  Some sites might be small for large RVs but the hosts ask what size of rig you have and get you a site that can be gotten into.  It is near lots of hiking and kayaking sites to visit.  Littleton NH is a pretty town and has the largest candy store.  Photography is beautiful up there.
