Offroad RV Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Situated on the outskirts of Hanksville in the red-rock desert of south-central Utah, Offroad RV Resort is a privately owned campground built with full-hookup RVs in mind, though reviewers note the clientele skews more varied than the name suggests. Sites are spacious and well-spaced, a detail multiple campers specifically call out. The hookups are laid out to match standard RV configurations, and the water at every site runs through a reverse osmosis system. Cell coverage is limited here. Campers who need reliable connectivity bring Starlink or similar satellite equipment.

The campground sits near a river, and visitors report walking down to the water in the evenings. Swing Arm City OHV area is roughly two miles out, making this a practical staging point for off-road riding. Capitol Reef National Park and Goblin Valley are within a reasonable drive. Owners Stuart and Heidi are hands-on, with multiple reviewers noting they take time to learn what guests are looking for and share local knowledge accordingly. As Todd S. puts it, "epic rides right out of camp and our kids loved playing in the river."

Nightly rates run $59 with electric, water, and sewer hookups included. Pets are allowed, campfires are permitted, and firewood is available on-site. Reservations can be made in advance. The resort is relatively new, with trees still maturing across the property. Campers looking at campgrounds near Hanksville will find this one among the more developed options in the area. Those with toy haulers or SxS rigs will find the layout and proximity to OHV terrain worth the trip out.

The best in the area

We saw the reviews and decided to take a flyer here. We weren't disappointed. The name suggests the majority of guests would all have toy haulers and ORV's, That wasn't the case.   We checked in and was met by Heidi who with her husband are the owners.

She escorted us to our site and explained everything we needed to know. The hook ups are installed nicely, laid out in order as most RV's as built. The water for the sites are reverse osmosis. I did check it with my meter, and it is very clean. Cell service is spotty at best. This place is out there, which is great. We set up our Starlink just for situations like this because we personally need Wi_Fi calling. We did take some walks around the park and down by the river in early evening. This park is pretty new and lots of the trees are maturing nicely. You can see how the owners take great pride in the care and service they provide. If in this area again, we will be back here.

Peaceful & Tranquil With Great Riding Nearby

We stayed here in our new toy hauler to explore some of the Sxs riding in the area. The campground owners Stuart and Heidi have a lot of local knowledge and took the time to find out what type of riding we wanted to do and were able to point out some really great area attractions. The quiet and great night sky views at the park were amazing. Plus the sites are huge! Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Beautiful and peaceful

Absolutely loved this place. Plenty of room between spaces which makes it so comfortable.  The views are amazing and it was so peaceful. The owners are very friendly and personable. Great location for some spectacular OHV rides. Capital Reef and Goblin Valley are just a short drive away. We plan to return for more great experiences. Definitely recommend staying at this RV resort!!
