Sites offer generous spacing between camping areas, allowing for privacy and flexibility in setup. The open positioning provides unobstructed views of the night sky, with several visitors noting exceptional stargazing conditions. Bare Soul W. was "surprised with beautiful views of the northern lights" during their stay.
Campers can drive directly to most spots or walk to preferred locations along the ridge. The area permits campfires, pets, and alcohol, with cell service reportedly available. The dispersed nature means no developed facilities or water sources, requiring full self-sufficiency for extended stays.
