Mountain View Camping

We stayed at the Mountain View campground. I was glad I had a back-in site around the edge of the loop. I loved the view. The pull through sites in the middle were super close together that left little room for slide outs and entry/exit from the trailers unless you were in the end. Each site has a…

Nice large spaces

There are two RV areas; one is Beach area, the other is Mountain View area. We stayed in the Mountain View area. The spaces are large, level, and easy to get into. I think they all have electricity and water. They are paved, as are the roadways. There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site.…

South Fork Fun

This campground is pretty nice. There are vault toilets and dumpsters throughout the camp. The loops are nice for walking the dogs, and there is access to the river on loop b. We were in site 1, which was super nice and shaded. It looked like that was the only campsite on Loop A with significant…

Great Family Friendly and Clean

Wow. What a beautiful site right next to a marina area. Very clean and good smelling bathrooms. We got a Sandy site and could sleep on the sand. Tables and grill and pit at every site.

Windy

Beautiful area and lake! Close to the town of vernal. 20 miles outside dinosaur National monument. Staff helpful. Bathrooms clean, nice shower areas! Not sure whether it was usual to have so much wind in the area, but good thing our tent was well secured! Had to stow test of the gear in the car so…

Perfect quick stop

Rolled in early-evening on a Wednesday and there were plenty of spots to choose from. Pecked one a ways from anyone else and still close to the toilets. Quiet, great room for two small tents. We were on motorcycles so the shelters over the picnic tables were perfect to stash our stuff for the…

Site 14 Not a Double Site

This is a beautiful campground with lots of trees and plenty of shade. The river is a short walk away. Campground spacing is excellent. Site 14 is reportedly a double site which is not the case. It is a nice big open site but putting two trailers there is not feasible. If you’re planning a trip…

4th of July 2021

Spent 4th of July weekend at China Meadows. It’s a pretty great spot. We didn’t have reservations and it wasn’t crowded at all. There were a lot of bugs, but that’s expected when camping next to the water. Standard pit toilets.

Love the River

We stayed only one night in site number 7. I was originally worried that the campsites would be too close together but the spacing was nice and we spent our time dunking ourselves in the river. It rained a little but it did not disturb us at all. Overall we had a great time and will be going…

Gorgeous meadows and aspens!

Beautiful spot to camp. Lots of places to park. Lots of ATVs and fifth wheels, too. If you’re okay with some ATV brap braps, this is a great spot. We’re in a truck and camper and found a little spot to pull in about 20 minutes off the highway. It’s probably best to have a high-clearance vehicle,…

Fossil valley RV park

We stayed here a couple of nights in our 35' motorhome towing a Jeep. The park is in the middle of Vernal and convenient to shopping and restaurants. A good bit of road noise and located next to a tire store. The sites are level, gravel and shaded, but close together (maybe 8'). Park is run by a…

Fantastic Campsite

We arrived 6/22/21 just passing through the night heading towards Grand Teton. We got there around 6pm. We got a campsite right on the water. The site was beautiful and bathrooms were clean. Hot showers were a definite plus. They have floating docks you can swim out to and boat, paddle board, and…

Good public campground

Camped here over Memorial Day and surprisingly it wasn’t too crowded. The sites are averagely spaced out. Not squished together like a KOA. There isn’t a lot of shade so bring a canopy or something. Some sites have a shelter over the table but ours did not. The view of the lake is great and it is…

Clean quiet campground

Important note: no water at the campground!! We found this campground while traveling east along Highway 80. It was about 45 minutes off of Highway 80 and the way we took it was all dirt roads through a lot of free ranging sheep. The campground itself is very quiet, and we were one of only three…
