  Great park and friendly staff

  When planning our visit, we were confused by something on the website, so I called to get clarification. The staff member that I spoke with was very friendly and answered all my questions. When we arrived, the staff member at the park was very friendly and accommodating. The site we had reserved had a next-door neighbor, but there were several empty sires without direct neighbors and she happily changed our site so we had more breathing room. This park has a big open field designated as the dog park and the RV park as a whole is very pet friendly. We were in site 17, which was a 50 amp site so we had to use an adapter for our 30 amp trailer. Hookups were conveniently located and included water, electric, and sewer. The site was a super level gravel pull through although they also had some back in spots and tent friendly spots. This park is right off the interstate but we really didn't notice the road noise. The bathroom and shower was clean and well kept. The town as a whole is small but cute and has a great city park. We didnt eat at the diner in town but were told by family that its a great place to eat. We were there for two nights and will definitely stop there again when we're in the area.

  Aspen Grove RV Park

  So clean

  Whow…new new new facilities with all the big rigs pull thru power water sewer games dog park ice cream souvenir shops easy on and off the freeway. Close to restaurants. But a sterile walking environment. Concrete pads and all… can’t go wrong here.

  Cute little spot

  Great amenities, dog park, showers, laundry. Stayed here long term a couple times and it’s always a great stay! Close to the park, splash pad, and track. Hosts are pleasant. A little close together but good for being on base.

  Golden Spike RV Park

  Great RV Spot Close to the Interstate

  This an wonderful medium sized RV campground that is totally locally owned so you know your stay will go towards benefiting local families!  That and given its proximity to the Interstate make it the closest and easiest RV campground to get to near Brigham City/Perry.  It is a perfect stopping point if you're looking at having all the comforts of home before heading into the mountains or into the towns nearby.  Amenities include a full laundry and bathroom in addition to cable TV and Wi-Fi.  They owners are on the property year round and is a very safe place to stay.  There are 38 sites that have 30 and 50 amp hookup options in addition to water.  Definitely visit this RV campground over the nearby KOA as it supports local businesses!!!

  If you want to spend time out in nature there is the nearby Bird Refuge, and Great Salt Lake.  To the north and northwest of here there lies the amazing Devils Playground and the namesake of the campground which is the Golden Spike National Historic Site in which the rail lines from the east and west met.  To the east there are numerous canyons to choose from in case the days are too sweltering hot to stay in the valleys

  Private RV secured area with Rv laundry and shower facilities. Private fenced in dog parks in RV area separate from gas station. Showers are included in price of stay. Quiet area which is perfect. Back in and pull through available. Good hook up’s

  Devils Creek RV Park

  Close quarters but friendly faces

  This is an older campground, and space near reservoirs is a hot commodity. The RV park host was very friendly and accommodating. Very clean campground with a nice boat dock and plenty of spaces to get down near the reservoir and fish.

  Warning - Some of the spaces felt like extremely close quarters especially with slide outs. The picture below shows one of the older full utility locations. Some units may not have much room to slide out without contacting the utility boxes. Some units offer great shade and an awning next to a shared fire pit, shared picnic table. Some units have a really nice shared grass area between trailers. Also several people here are seasonal campers with monthly rates. This can make finding a space a little more challenging. Call ahead and make sure to get reservations so you can get a spot.

  Lot size seems inconsistent between spaces as some feel very cramped and some of the high number units without utilities had larger spaces between them, almost appearing as an extra space between two units people were using for pet/kid play areas.

  Dogs are to be kept on leashes, but people should consider short leashes/tie lines as it is easy for pets to cross into adjacent units depending upon where they are staked. Make sure to plan ahead for power adapters. Only one 30amp service so if your planning to run AC, plan to be the first in or coordinate with your neighbor.

  On the beach!

  This campground seems like it is one of the closer campgrounds to the water. It's pet-friendly, has full hookups, picnic tables, and wifi. The nice thing about this campground is it does have a beach as well as water/lake access. Not as many amenities as the KOA (Bear Lake/Marina Side). 

  The bathhouse was very clean. Did seem less busy than the KOA (Bear Lake/Marina Side).

  Birch Campground — Bear Lake State Park

  Not What We Were Expecting

  The address we put into our GPS took us to the Marina so we drove further along the lake to Rendezvous Beach area where we checked in at the gate house with no problems. We then proceeded to the Birch campground(CG) FHU site 55, which was a pull through. The CG map shows there are 4 CGs(Willow, Birch, Cottonwood,& Big Creek). Big Creek is the oldest with a lot more shade trees than the other listed CGs. The CGs run in sequence along the south end of the lake. The sites are well spaced with a nice little covered patio with the picnic table. The beach is about 100 yards away and we had a sliver of lake view. We were surprised that dogs are not allowed on the park beaches. There was a fire ban that included charcoal grills(propane okay). We had great water pressure, used 15’ sewer hose, and received about 30 OTA channels. We had a clear shot to the southern sky, but didn’t need/use our satellite. We got 4 bars on Verizon. We where not sure what to expect when we decided to come to Bear Lake SP but we sure were not expecting it to be dog restrictive. Dogs are not allowed by the lake/beach or in day use areas so we were limited to walking them around the campground. We also were not expecting a tourist trap, sunning beach, and crowded with families during the week(Mon- Thur) late in August. There were plenty of CG workers but they did not keep up with the trash laying about. Our fire pit, which we couldn’t use, had trash in it to include a pair of kids underwear. We did enjoy going to Montpelier and visiting the Oregon/California Trail Center and Butch Cassidy Museum. One and done for us.

  Porcupine Campground

  Green and Beautiful

  Such a beautiful area for a campground. Our visit was in June and everything was green green green! So much vegetation along the crystal clear creek. There are signs of active beavers with many dams and lodges.

  We stayed in the "group" site which can fit two tailers and the three vehicles. We also used the adjacent site 3 for a third trailer. The group site has two picnic tables on a concrete pad and a fire pit with built in benches. The sites are spread nicely especially on the upper loop with reservable sites. It would be difficult to fit large fifth wheel trailers.

  One complaint is that the campground website is lacking information and does not match the information at the campsite. There are many sites not on the map that are first come first serve. The prices also don't match what is advertised on the website (by a couple dollars)

  Just up the road is Minnetonka cave where you can take a guided 90 minute tour. Worth the visit.
