Free camping in Cache National Forest, Dock Flat sits above Mantua on a dirt road that requires some caution before arrival. The gate at the entrance stays closed until Memorial Day weekend, so spring visits before that date will be turned away. The road into the campground is winding and can be rough in spots. RVs and trailers longer than 30 feet will have difficulty navigating the bends, and reviewers suggest larger rigs stick to the lower sections while tent campers have more flexibility to push further up.

The campground has at least 30 established sites, each with a fire pit, and the tree cover provides consistent shade across much of the area. Great spot, NOT big rig friendly

The location is beautiful, and full of deer. My partner and I are just starting out full time rv life and this was the first spot we stayed at. We got there late at night and were able to make it to the first site in our 30' bumper pull, but anything bigger than that would likely have a lot of trouble getting up the very bendy dirt road. I would recommend you scout ahead if you have anything bigger than a 15 footer. We only stayed for one night but would have stayed longer if we had the time.

Great close camping. Easy to get to.

Gate doesn't open until Memorial Day weekend. Keep that in mind when planning a visit here. TONS of places to camp further up if you are in a tent. Trailers should stick to the lower sections as it gets a bit difficult to navigate past the second campground.

True, free dispersed camping!

Not very far from Brigham City at all. Easy to find and some roads are a little rough in the campgrounds. At least 30 established campsites with fire pits and lots of shade. A lot of hiking and star gazing available. No Services whatsoever except I have T-Mobile and I have great reception with the JeXstream mobile hotspot extender. No Creeks or water but a beautiful place if you bring everything you need. Didn't hear any shots but shooting is allowed, and you might encounter people on ATVs or staying up late partying but you live with what you can find!

Sitethe best one I could find! most were taken.
