Directions

Winter Directions: From the parking lot follow the groomed Geyser Pass road #071 east for 0.9 miles. Turn right at the USFS sign indicating Gold Basin road #241. Follow the groomed Gold Basin road for 1.2 miles. When the road turns sharply to the left and descends 100 yards the yurt will be visible through a clearing to the right. Leave the groomed trail here and make your way 50 yards to the yurt. Short Cut: An optional route exists which eliminates approximately 1 mile of groomed trail. From the parking lot follow the groomed Geyser Pass road #071 east for 0.5 miles. After the road passes a large meadow on the left hand side keep an eye out for a skin track that leaves the road to the right and climbs steeply through the trees. Follow the skin track for approximately 0.4 miles until it rejoins the groomed Gold Basin road #241. Once back on the groomed trail follow the road for 0.5 miles. When the road turns sharply to the left and descends 100 yards the yurt will be visible through a clearing to the right. Leave the groomed trail here and make your way 50 yards to the yurt.
