We overnighted here on our way to Ridgway, CO but wish we had more time. This is a great little RV park. It is very well maintained, has spacious sites, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We didn't have a chance to spend any time in Helper, but it looked so cool driving through. Lots of old buildings and businesses that look like a blast from the past. Connectivity is great here on all carriers. The only thing I can ding this place for is road noise from the highway and train noise from the nearby line and yard. But, I like trains, so I can't complain too much. Otherwise, this is a fantastic little RV park and I look forward to the opportunity to come back and explore the area more.
We stayed here while we spent some time on the west side of Yellowstone National Park. The site we stayed in was a Premium Pull Thru- 80', which was wide, level, and had a nice patio and grassy areas. The mobile network connectivity was great for working during the week. There is WiFi available, but we didn't use it and relied on our cell phone/hotspot plans. The staff was friendly. The grounds were well maintained. There's no traffic noise, which is nice. The location is close and convenient for getting into Yellowstone National Park as well as the small town of West Yellowstone.
This was a nice little overnight stay on our way to the Grand Tetons. The site we stayed in had a nice cement patio complete with sturdy chairs to relax on. The site was also very long allowing us to keep our Jeep hooked up for the night. I will say the sites are close together, but not unusually close for a KOA. The grounds were well maintained and was an overall nice atmosphere. Connectivity was good. T-Mobile was the winner on speed with about 6 Mbps, but Verizon and AT&T also had a strong signal.
We only stayed here two nights for a quick trip into Voyageurs National Park. If I would have known AT&T would have been so fast and reliable, we would have easily stayed here a week to work. The campground is clean. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were greeted happily when we arrived and directed to our spot which was a spacious, level gravel pad with a well maintained picnic table and fire ring. We had a lot of privacy with the trees surrounding the site. The easements were freshly mowed. You can tell the owners take pride in the appearance of the park.
This is a fantastic place to stay if visiting Voyageurs National Park and the other surrounding attractions, such as Vermillion Falls. We would absolutely stay here again.
