RV sites with full hookups line the shores of this 1,100-acre mountain lake within Winema National Forest. Rainbow Bay provides water, electric, and sewer connections for recreational vehicles, along with restrooms, showers, and a dump station for extended stays during the May through September season.
The campground sits directly on Lake of the Woods, giving campers immediate access to boating, fishing, and swimming. Several reviewers mention the designated children's swimming area and boat launch facilities. Marisa Y. notes "little private beaches under the trees" that provide quieter spots along the shoreline. Weekend visitors can expect live music and outdoor barbecue events at the nearby pavilion.
Sites range from partial to full hookups, though some reviewers point out that fire pits sit close to neighboring units in certain areas. The on-site restaurant and marina store provide meals and supplies without leaving the property. Day-use parking accommodates visitors not staying overnight, and the maximum stay extends to 14 days. Campers planning group gatherings find the lakeside setting works well for family reunions and larger gatherings.
Forest Service management keeps the facility running from late spring through early fall, with reservations recommended during peak summer months. For additional options in the region, campers can explore camping near Winema National Forest.
