Great place to camp

Quiet campground, close to many hiking high peak trails. Love the caretakers dog Rookie.

NY State campground... Great location, very basic.

Dry camping with a bathroom/shower house that works but not well.

Great location for hiking in the Adirondacks.

Large sites, water available.

Rangers leave you alone, almost no contact with them.

Great Place 👍🏼

We rented two spaces next to one another and had plenty of room for cars and all our tents. There were fire pits and picnic tables for use as well. The staff was very accommodating and bathrooms/potable water were very short walks. We did a few smaller hikes but the best and longest hike was up Giant Mountain. I highly recommend this hike! Beautiful views and Trail was well marked. It's on more of the challenging side so bring plenty of water and snacks to keep your fueled. Overall a great campsite with even better hikes to take.

Beach yourself here

Great Lake views, and hiking trails nearby. Highly recommend renting a boat and having some fun too. With shopping just a bit away it is a great place to be in not so great weather too!

Good basecamp or stopoff

Picturesque wooded area paved with pine needles. Pros: convenient to regional activities, less popular (no big lake), isolated site along water (babbling brook to lull you to sleep). Cons: none, unless you want to be right along a big lake.

Sharp Bridge Campgrounds

We had a great experience here. The restroom were very clean. The sites were spacious. There wasn't a lot of party animals like you find at some camps. Everyone was there to hike or fish.
But the most important aspect was that there wasn't a million granddaddy long leg spiders lurking everywhere. Sorry I love the outdoors and creepy crawlies do not bother me. That is unless it's a spider then I turn into a helpless female. LOL

Gem just off the Northway

Checked in on 9/2 for one evening. The guy working the desk was very helpful with wood. The recent delivery of wood was sub-par, but he helped me with extra wood free of charge and fire starter. The campground received 4g LTE service. One of the quietest campsites I've ever stayed at in the Adirondacks.

Lovely area

A great location in the Adirondacks. The campground is in a forest of red and white pines, giving it an open feeling. The restroom seems pretty new, but half of the stalls were in real need of a good cleaning. Highway noise can be heard, but it's distant enough to tune out.
