Oklahoma Panhandle Campground

We are traveling with a travel trailer and three generations of family (five of us ages 4-64). We LOVED this campground! Well maintained playground for the kids. Very clean bathrooms with free hot showers. Big shade trees. Full hookups. Kind host. We wished that we could’ve stayed longer. A few…

Beautiful and Peaceful

We spent one night here on our way from Indiana to Valley of the Gods. Plentiful spaces, few people, pet friendly, flush toilets and showers. The best part is that all sites - except for 10 RV hook up sites - are free!!!

Windy af.

The campground was okay. The sites are pretty close together but it wasn’t busy when we were there. Toilets & showers were clean and it’s awesome that the whole thing is free. BUT (!!!) people had mentioned before that it gets windy there. And it sure does. We couldn’t get any sleep because…

The Best Stumble-Upon Spot!

This place is free and has some sites with both water/hookups and some dry camping. The views are so sick and I had no idea Texas had spots to offer like this (Midwesterner here lol). Fun to watch the deer down by the shore. Cool lil trails and loved the sunrises here, I parked right on the edge.…

Stunning vists!

We were traveling north to Colorado and just had to pay a visit ot Lake Merideth, Sandford Yates campground. What stunning views! The pad was level the price was right at $9 with our National Parks Access Pass. We only spent one night here but would have no issues going back for more! I have two…

Texas hospitality

Stayed here in a 44 ft 5th wheel. 3 night max stay with free electric and water. Dump station here for free with free potable water. Great for kids. Playground, splash park, volleyball, basketball hoops. There's a 911 memorial and a veteran memorial. Green space, walking trails and bird…

This is Texas?!

This area is GORGEOUS! The bathrooms are dated, but clean and well maintained. The park is excellent, and a total gem, especially when you consider that you can boondock, or pay for a site with hookups. I'd definitely recommend.

Good overnight waypoint - windy!

This was a good spot to stop on our road trip - easy to navigate to, easy to reserve, very level spots, hookups. But we probably won’t return. It was very windy, so I wouldn’t really want to tent camp here. The lake looked nice but it’s very flat so not as geologically interesting as our recent…

Free 2 nights

This campground It’s free! 2 days maximum stay, you have to drive a few blocks to the police station and ask permission . They will ask you for your ID and License plate number and just write it down on a log. There is a dump station, and potable water and power! Yes after you get registered (super…

Free, Undeveloped, Next to water

This is my type of campground! It has a Boat Ramp and trash cans. No grills, no picnic tables, some home made fire rings. So if you need hook ups just go to the next campgrounds (most free). If you are equipped to Boondocking then come to this one! You’ll be parking next to the lake, don’t forget…

Lake View

Great place to stay a few days! Some spots because of the power are charged a fee but the rest of the spots are free and the best because there are in front of the cliff looking or the lake! There is not entry to lake lake. They have trash cans, restrooms, covered picnic tables, potable water, fire…

Nice overnight state park even if you’re not driving the dunes

Stayed for one night and I only can say good things about this place. Small Rv campground with 6 spots. The sand dunes are right there and nice to go for a small hike if you don’t want to ORV with your 4 wheeler. Self pay 20$ and good for the night. Water and electricity but no dumping station. …
