Great C.C.C. park

Our family favorite, shaded campsites with a small ox bowl lake for fishing.

Nice park with lots of pretty birds.

Check in is easy, staff was polite. The sites are oozy and easy to back into. There are trails to the water, but my experience is fishing is much better from a boat rather than from shore. There are some beautiful birds here including the Green Jay. A lot of people put out bird feeders. But if you…

Shelter Area Cabin 13 was awesome

Stayed here for a weekend with my family. So nice to have AC in the cabin with shade on the little patio area. I’m convinced site 13 is the best. Only con was that others were using it to get down to the lake so we had a few people walk right up next to the cabin with their fishing gear. Bathrooms…

Great amenities!

This park is a little nicer than ones we stay in, but we really enjoyed it. The park is right on the awesome bike path and we were able to park and not drive anywhere for the week-long stay. We biked downtown to check everything out and also biked to the missions. It’s awesome being so close to the…

Excellent Resort

Plan to stay here as long as you can. We made this an overnight stop. Big mistake. One cannot even explore this park in a day, let alone see San Antonio. Amenities, to list a few are: pool, mini golf, pickle ball, rec hall, community fire pit and more. Visit the River Walk and Alamo! You need at…

Very nice spot

When you first roll up I felt a bit skeptical. Surrounding area appeared to be rough bars on windows Homeless foot traffic seemed high. Once you get inside the park it changed. Very well kept up park no trash anywhere and friendly people. Our spot fit my 33 ft bumper pull and mega cab just right.…

Shelter from the Storm

We stayed here 2/13/21 to 2/18/21 during the Texas Extreme Cold and Snow event!

We had originally planned to go to Junction after our time in Lockhart State Park, but wanted to get further South away from the snow and cold. We easily switched our reservation to here although it was supposed to be…

Serene, surburban feel

We stayed here a few days and enjoyed the cleanliness, gentle vibe the place offered.

There are great perks to staying here if just wanting to chill in the RV. But, it’s also close to the nearby attractions such as, the Alamo, The Mission state park and the River Walk. We enjoyed the amenities…

Simple Campground

The FamCamp is small and simple but affordable place to stay while you’re in town. Although the sites are paved, there is mud everywhere during rainfall. Only one side has shade.

River Front camping

If you’re here to float this is your campground. No frills but right on the river. They rent tubes and will shuttle you back. Campground itself is very basic but its a short walk into town. Train tracks run right past park so be prepared for train noise at all hours.

Just off i35

Super easy to get to off i35 between New Braunfels and San Antonio. The park is nice but could use some updating. The daily sites are up front and those are kept up, but if you walk around the park the ones near the back that are mostly monthly rentals could use some TLC. The playground was okay…
