Quiet Lake Park

We stayed on a spot right by the lake. The water was beautiful and it was very quiet. We loved everything about this spot. I would highly recommend this park. We came to Waco go to to see the Silos. It is about 25 minutes away.

Beautiful Park

It was very beautiful and we enjoyed our stay but the Rv campsites were very close together so if you’re looking for a separated from everyone else kind of campsite this isn’t the one for you. We also discovered that the cellphone signal for Verizon wasn’t that great when the Rv next to us came. It…

Great late night stop

They were the only park to take our late call to stop for the night and the night watchman was extremely helpful. The sites were level cement pads. They also offered a free made to order breakfast which was great!! We keep a noise machine in our camper when traveling so the road noise was not a…

Good breakfast

I stayed here on my way to Houston, I didn't use the shower, laundry or gym, the hosts were really friendly and they will give you hot breakfast. If you want less road noise try parking in the back away from the highway. My spot had 30amp, water and sewer.

Very Quite Weekend

Nothing to complain about. There was only 1 other camper within eye sight. Pretty site with water front views.

Overnight Shelter with Electrcity

We stayed at site #32 which as a great view of Lake Waco.  We didn't end up using the shelter other than to charge our cooler and cell phone. The  inside of the shelter was quite dirty and have a lots of dead bugs.  The site was huge and was right besides the water - good for fishing.

A little outdated

All the pads are concrete and are for the most part level (2x6 under tires or less). Sites are pretty good size and come with a picnic table and overhead cover for it. Deer are everywhere. Has two dump stations on either side of the park. Lots of trees in the Deer Park area. Lots of full timers in…

Escape from the City

Spaces are close, water pressure is very low, grass was tall when we got here but it was cut while we were here. Ants are bad, Argentine ants are very bad because there small once there in your car you just take them everywhere.

Beautiful lake

Marina was closed and several lots needed mowing but beauty of lake made up for it. Great swimming area with beach area and large children play area. Would definitely come back here.

Great spots on the hill

If you camp on the hill areas there is plenty of shade. But if you camp close to the water shade is sparse. Trees are planted but are not y’all enough to produce shade. But over all it’s a nice place. Fishing and swimming. Lots of military personnel on the weekends.

Great for fisherman and boating!

Lake Waco may not be the cleanest or prettiest lake, but when it comes to fishing, you can bring in a good amount of catfish and have a fish-fry to make up for it! I love the peacefulness of Speegleville park. It isn't a very big park, so the site space is limited but that just makes for a quieter…

Lots to do

Very nice facilities, yes they are still fixing a lot of damaged sites because of flooding but most facilities, beaches and water slides are up and running. While not camping lots of festivals and events.

Fun but pretty overrun

It's very close and our family members enjoy to take the kids for a hike and camp for a short weekend. Our kids enjoy to watch the deers that come close in the evening. During summer break we appreciated the lifeguards
