Peaceful place

We tent camped in a primitive spot #47. Overall the spot was nice but not very level making the best placement of our large tent a bit of a challenge. Vault toilets were clean and had hand sanitizer. The nature and hiking in this park was our favorite part. Even rented a canoe and paddled across…

Great late night stop

They were the only park to take our late call to stop for the night and the night watchman was extremely helpful. The sites were level cement pads. They also offered a free made to order breakfast which was great!! We keep a noise machine in our camper when traveling so the road noise was not a…

Perfect Spot by the Lake

I'm surprised no one else has reviewed this place yet, it is awesome! Other than the occasional local on their boats making noise, this place was pretty serene. The drive to the location is very rural once you exit 45. Many nice folks in the community here were waving at me when I drove by.

I…

Good breakfast

I stayed here on my way to Houston, I didn't use the shower, laundry or gym, the hosts were really friendly and they will give you hot breakfast. If you want less road noise try parking in the back away from the highway. My spot had 30amp, water and sewer.

Fisherman Paradise....Not for Everyone

The front guardhouse/entrance is extra campy. Low light and decorated with 69 yo 74lb catch pictures. This is by far the most fisherman geared Texas State Park we have been to and it's our 12th!

The playground is nicer than expected. The tr ails are well-marked.

A quirk of this park are the…

Best of the three!

There are three VOE Parks on Lake Navarrow Mills and in my personal opnion Wolf Creek Park is the best. We camped here all the time when I was a kid. Navarrow Mills is a fantastic fishing lake. Tons of Crappie and catfish. The facilities are what you would expect from a COE park. Concrete table…

River Water

Be sure to test the water before entering. It's seems harmess and may very well be harmless but it will make you and your pets stinky. Easy access to low current knee high water below the damage and easy and fun to walk/ wade around in but again, will lightly stain your clothes and have you…

Really Nice Campground, BUT my God the ants!

Liberty hill is a very beautiful campground but there is a serius issue with the invasive Argentian ant. This is a great campground to spend a few days or weeks relaxing and catching fish. Lake Navarro Mills is well know as the best Crappie fishing lake in Texas. Navarro Mills Liberty Hill Park…
