Good park, no easy river access

Great for water, electric connections. The park is just a mix of tourists and regular tenants. Kinda junkyard feel at first. They do have friendly check in staff as well as tiny hut at checkin that is a makeshift store aswell. The bathrooms have potential but were not cleaned or stocked with any…

Nice park and well maintained trails

We stayed in Bastorp state park in our little teardrop trailer. The folks at the check-in point were very friendly and helpful. The campsite we had full hookups and was well shaded. We spent two days there and took several long hikes. We really enjoyed the changes in elevation, terrain and views.…

Canyon Lake Beauty

Saw this park on an episode of Grand Adventure with Marc Guido. We were able to reserve the site from the episode and Marc’s review was spot on. A great small park on beautiful Canyon Lake in legendary Texas Hill Country.

The park is perfectly situated to explore the Hill Country. Austin, San…

Best campground in Canyon Lake!

This place is very well thought out. The sites are a good size and has all hookups. The park has wifi so my wife was able to work there. There was plenty to do from the pool, bocce, and a music venue. Staff was very polite and also picked up garbage on each site if it was at the curb. Definitely…

Cheap Golf

We were here 2/8/21 to 2/13/21. We had 2 decent days and then the bad weather began. We golfed 18 one of the days, fun layout, not in the best shape right now but the price was right. With the Texas pass you also get a discount on golf and anything else you buy. Lots of short trails, close to town.…

NiSmall Park on Golf Course

We stayed here for a 2 day travel stop. Clean, well maintained park with only 10 full hookup sites and 10 water/electric sites. Full hookup sites back up to a golf course. One bath house that is very clean. Our site was perfectly level. All sites have a covered picnic table and asphalt parking…

Perfect for a Shakedown Cruise!

We needed a place not too far out of town to test out our setups in prep for summer.

This was easy to get to and we had plenty of space to shake things down.

Loved having great cell service right at our site (AT&T), as we work remotely and needed to get a couple of things done.

Have also…

Very nice city park - Hidden Gem alert!

We came into this park on the 4th day of the big Texas freeze this past winter. Unfortunate for them,  pipe broke and they were out of water at the time. But it was fixed a couple days after we arrived.

Now as for the park. It has a section of 30 amp services which are in some shades and are on…

Nice Sunsets and Views

We had nice views of the lake from our campsite. Booking a spot was very easy using Recreation.gov. Many campsites were closed while we were there during COVID restrictions, so check ahead. There are trails available for hikes around the lake.

Unbelievable views

This COE campground is amazing. We stayed in site 66 right on the water. There are great spots everywhere you turn. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful. Boat ramp was easily accessible and there was plenty of space along the shoreline to hang out.

Nice Spot for a weekend

Nice small campground a bit off the beaten path. Our tent site was surrounded by a low pipe fence. We parked in our designated parking spot (2 vehicles allowed) and had to walk about 30 yards to our site. It wasn’t horrible but the fence meant we couldn’t roll from the car straight there. We had a…
