We actually booked online a couple weeks in advance just in case and had no issue with the check in, we fished, swam and had a great time.... there weren’t a ton of people there and everyone was friendly The campground was close enough to the water to pull the kayaks across to
plenty to do with the kids . place is very clean . bathrooms are nice . staff is great
We happened to be driving to texas the same time as the polar vortex. Needing a spot with electricity last minute to warm up for the night, this KOA was available and everyone was so helpful. Our pipes in the van froze on the road and people talked us through what to do and even gave us…
Stayed a night on my way home to the Dallas area. It’s a little bit north of Wichita Falls and Hwy 287 but well worth the effort to get there.
We parked our RV here for 2 nights to go play at Kiowa casino 5 minutes away. Quiet, basic sites. Not very big. No fire rings but a stationary grill. No walking trails. We parked with a 30 amp. Nice people.
A city park provided by the town of Henrietta. We had a good level campsite with a choice of every campsite in the campground. We were the only ones there for the night. We were undisturbed and spent a peaceful night. We had good access to the highway we were traveling on the way to Colorado. Would…
Pros: easy access from state hwy. Restrooms were very clean. This park has made pull through sites for big rigs. The lake and fishing area are great. Very quite and no artificial lights, heat place to star gaze. Love the little circles the water/electricity sites are located. Large site next side…
Pros clean restrooms and open space. Great for families with younger children. All set up for Halloween
Cons: no trees, sites are very close together.
The good: This park has a lot to offer. Multiple pools(including a nice splash pad type area for the little kids), jumping pillows, maze, nice playground, animals, blow up obstacle course, and schedules activities like hayrides, bubbles, candy bingo, etc. The not so great: There’s a lot of…
Lots of family activities-swimming, fishing, maze, mini golf, hayrides, archery, paintball, laser tag, crafts, animal visits, bubble pool, golf cart rentals, great cabins, level concrete rv sites 20/30/50 amp, cafe, store, gem mining, basketball, cedar playground!!!
I usually visit this lake for the fishing. There is dispersed camping around the lake, and there is also an RV park on the north side of the lake, off highway 485, but I have never stayed there. I have visited the store in the park for bait, and everything looked clean and in good repair.
So hiking is probably not a real description of this. Walking on grass trails that are flat and mowed is more like it. They have a very nice disc golf course and the "trails" are part of that system. Small camping area and lake access but we didn't use these.
A nice KOA right off I-44. Its far enough from the highway to not be bothered by the noise. Nice and grassy and large trees around the campground just not near the RV spots. Nice salt water pool and a little store with sundries. The cabins look very nice as well. It appears they are expanding and…
