    Mission RV Park

Nice CG for Convenient Overnight Stay

We stayed one night (May 30, 2022). The is a nice, easy access CG with large, level pull through and back in gravel sites. It is located at the I-10 and 375 interchange next to a trucking container storage facility– there is a lot of road noise and trucking activity, but no bother. The WiFi was good as was cell service. There are a number of activities available: clubhouse, indoor swimming, tennis and basketball courts, playground, horseshoes, biking and walking (within the RV park). We did not make use of the laundry, bathrooms or showers. It was convenient for an overnight stay. We would stay here again.

    Love's RV Hookup-Santa Teresa NM 817

    perfect for my personal preferences

pulled into the loves parking lot that I had scoped out on Google maps. pulled directly into the first lane of pumps with the ass end blocking traffic. And from there, I could just pull forward and back into my spot full of fuel.

In the morning I made a reservation so I can stay here another night as well. I was just going to stay one night. But I can get Propane within walking distance of my truck and the subway shop isn't much farther. Maybe I'll check out the laundry facilities, too. I've already filled the freshwater tank and the water seems fine. Good thing I do not need to dump my black tank because even with the extension, I don't think my hoses would reach. The flaw in the design is that all the sites are back in and the pedestals and sewer ports are behind the RV when parked. Don't worry though because there is a dump station even closer than the propane refill. All six sites orient each camper pretty much due east west with the passenger side to the south. Actually, putting a sewer connection at each site is overkill when there is a nearby dump station, that you can use on your way in or your way out. For one night stops that's all you need. The street noise is tolerable. All the big trucks go to the opposite side of this complex. There were distant train noises and I could barely see the tops of a few cars over the western horizon. Getting the power turned on took a couple phone calls and unintelligible conversations over the intercom setup at the kiosk. I got $72 of propane and the attendant even carried a full 20 and 40 over to my site. While in the office paying for that I got them to turn the power back on, which was turned off at noon because yesterdays stay was over and todays had not started. This gas station and“travel stop” does not sell beer?!?!?!?!? Make sure to ask for your favorite adult beverage, maybe they will get some

    Franklin Mountains State Park Campground

    Beautiful view!

Beautiful view, very quiet. Stayed at one of the drive-in sites (#44.) No cell service since the sites are tucked back in the mountains, but this added to the peace and serenity. Each site has a covered picnic table. Definitely great for a one night stay! I would love to check out their hiking trails someday.

    Franklin Mountains State Park Campground

    Nice place but small spots

Stayed here one night the park is very nice. Has lots of hiking trails and scenery. The rv parking is small only has 5 sites and no amenities. Be cautious if you have a big rig the spots are not very long and are pull in pull out. We stayed in spot 5 with our 36" and it worked for the one night but if park was full we would felt we where in the way.

    Nice Park

We stayed only 1 night, happy to be past El Paso on our trek west. Clean level sites. Clean secure bathrooms and showers. We had a pull through on the end so it was a terrifically easy in and out.

    Fort Bliss RV Park

Extremely Clean and very well designed

This is a 130 spot park. Totally designed with pulling through in mind. All sites are concrete and full hook up. Excellent over the air TV reception. Verizon coverage is solid 5 bars. They have WiFi however it is limited to the “family room” only. Due to COVID, thus is closed. Easy access from I-10 to US52. This facility is limited to DoD agencies only. There is a Shopette across the street from the entrance. Costs range from $18-25 depending on your status. Would definitely stop here again. The only down side is it’s first come, first serve no reservations. The staff at the office were extremely helpful

BLM Dispersed camping along B059 New Mexico

    4 Days of Dispersed Enjoyment

So the road in is at the 151 Mesquite Exit off IH 10. First 2 miles were blacktop, then 2 miles of 2.5 vehicle wide gravel road then 2 miles of single vehicle gravel road. Several turnouts for camp sites with many having rock fire rings.

Lots of dove and some quail.

A few cows in the area.

Lots to see if you get out and walk the area. Several hiking trails into the Mountain range.

Light noise to the south from El Paso/IH 10 to the West but not much to the East looking into the canyon or North. Saw many stars and satellites.

    Would stay again.

Light traffic during sunlight by hikers.

    Quite otherwise.

Sites are not level so be prepared
