  Fort Bliss RV Park

  Only the Best

  NOTE: Park is only for Active, Reservist, Retired Military members, their dependents, and blood relatives being escorted.

  We stayed for 3 nights at Fort Bliss and just Wow!!! It has to be one of the best RV parks we have stayed so far.

  The Pros: -Great spots -Great pricing ($25-$35 a night) -Laundry mat ($1 wash, $1 dry) -Dog run -Big grass area to play -Family group hall

  The Cons: -Water pressure seemed pretty high, just so happens I lost our regulator and we blew out a hose(thankfully not an RV line) -Hot(it’s TX desert🤷🏼‍♂️)

  We will most definitely stay here everytime we go through El Paso

  Franklin Mountains State Park Campsites

  Good trails

  No amenities like electricity, water or dump stations. Great for walking, cycling, birding. The only camping sites in the metropolitan area in Texas. Sites are semi level and gravel. Great for meditating

  Served its purpose

  Had to make an unexpected stop in El Paso. Was thankful for a place to pull in. Full hookups. The pad area is well maintained; perimeter areas not so much. Good for a basic, utilitarian stay. Within walking distance to Rudy's if you want some good Texas BBQ.

  El Paso Roadrunner RV Park

  Easy city access & affordable

  Unexpectedly stayed here for a week while we had to do some errands in town. Great affordable weekly rate ($41/night, $180/week). The bathrooms are not great, very dirty and not unkept well. They have showers but the women’s were out of order. Laundry was $3 for wash/dry. Also able to receive packages here which was nice. Had electric/water/sewage and a store with parts for minor repairs.

  Mission RV Park

  Pleasantly Surprised!

  When we booked Mission RV Park, I didn’t really look into it that much. We didn’t know what to expect. Turns out, it’s our new favorite spot to stay when passing through El Paso. The staff are incredibly friendly! They told us about some local attractions that did not disappoint! You are right off the highway, but the campground feels very safe all things considered. Everything is paved and feels super level. They were very accommodating for our dogs and tried to give us a site with a nice sunset view! Would stay here again 100%. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub that are open until 8pm!

  El Paso West RV Park

  Apparently we are POOR…

  …yeah the manager said this to my husband. Guess what, we own the BMW motorcycle and the house behind it in the picture. I wish I could leave zero stars because of the disrespectful treatment my husband received. I’m still in disbelief this seriously happened. I want to let everyone know the RV park person managing during the day on Feb. 16, 2024 was very inappropriate and rude. My husband was kicked out because his camper/tiny home did not have pumps. The manager accused of scamming the RV park, for being poor, and lying about where he works. For one thing, a person CANNOT assume by the way a person looks like and second, why would anyone lie about where he works, especially that place specifically. He can show his ID from his place of work. Wouldn’t that be unlawful? Because of his place of work, the last thing my husband would do is anything unlawful and he has worked for the same company for the last 17 years. He built the camper with his own two hands AND he disclosed everything with pictures when he paid for the first month’s rent. How in the world is he scamming when he paid the lot rent earlier than the date he actually planned to move in. In Tucson, we own a$400K home, own a BMW motorcycle, and a Toyota Tacoma with A LOT of aftermarket add ons which may cost more than some of the campers in the RV park. He enjoys building things and took great pride in the build of the camper. Actually, so MANY people actually stop by and ask if they can take a picture of the camper because of how intriguing it is. Whoever the guy was, really needs to take classes on social/people skills and what is and IS NOT okay to say to people, especially customers. It did not have to go down that route and accuse my husband of being a scammer and a liar. Who in their right mind would talk to a customer like that, especially when the customer(my husband) was respectful when the wife of the fat white guy approached him and told him he couldn’t stay there because his camper doesn’t have pumps. My husband said okay and was ready to leave and not cause trouble. The fat white guy just HAD to come out and put in his rude 2 cents. NOT OKAY!!

  very cool historical and geographically interesting location. campsites back right up against the north mountain. didn't use the showers, but bathrooms were clean and heated

  Fort Bliss RV Park

  Super but noisy

  This RV park is military ship-shape. Clean, level cement pads. Nice wide sites with aprons to set out chairs and barbeque. Weather was perfect. It's FCFS but calling ahead made us confident we could get a site. Military ID required. Wonderful facilities and very inexpensive. The only draw-back is road noise from Hwy 54. Otherwise great!

  Best Camping Near Hueco Tanks!

  Remote desert camping with plenty of amenities. From primitive camping for $5/night to limited RV hook-ups (gray water, fresh water, electric), yurt & trailer rentals, to a beautiful home Airbnb. Only 5 miles drive to Hueco Tanks & 20 miles from East El Paso. Quiet nights with low light pollution for amazing stargazing opportunities!

  A small RV park located in a perfect place on the West side of El Paso. Located just down the street is an excellent Mexican restaurant that has outstanding food.

  Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site

  Hueco Tanks Adventure

  This was supposed to be just a rest stop. We had so much fun and did so much mountaineering that we never rested! Climbed to the kiva cave and saw ancient pictographs and amazing wildlife. Nice clean sites with good power and water. Restrooms fine just a little dark. Staff was helpful and just awesome! Wi-fi available but not at our site. Signal too weak

  We came in off season

  We came off season and it looked like everything was closed up but we found the primitive camping that we were looking for and then were greeted by the host within 5 minutes.

  They allowed our stay since we are fully self-contained, with a porta potty and carrying our own water. Host is very congenial.

  Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site

  Pictographs and climbing

  This is an amazing park. So many pictographs to find. This is a busy area for climbing/bouldering in the cooler months. Since this is a historical, archaeological, sacred area there are some extra rules to follow. Everyone must watch an informative video on the park and some areas are restricted. Campsites are relatively small but most have a picnic area, tent pads, and a driveway. Some sites are water and electric and some water only. Lots of wildlife in the park. About 15-20 minutes to major stores and restaurants. Lots to do in El Paso area. About 2 hours to Carlsbad or White sands. Negative note bathrooms are older and basic. Basically no shade at campsites. Cell service not great in camp area but rest of park was good for Verizon.

  El Paso Roadrunner RV Park

  Everything you need for an overnight.

  This place was great for an overnight stay. The sites are level dirt, asphalt drives and FHU sites. The price point is excellent (<$50/night for FHU pull-thru). The campground does offer weekly and monthly rates. We just don't like being packed in like sardines being only 3ft from your neighbor on either side. But, they have everything you could need, bathhouses, 24hr laundry, Campground Store, areas to walk the dog. We'd stay here again if passing through El Paso for sure!

  Franklin Mountains State Park Campsites

  Gorgeous and spread out camp sites

  May is the time to go when no one else is there for tent camping! Pretty views and trails to explore. Even a cave up the hill a little ways to explore. I don’t have a problem with primitive camping when places like this offers gorgeous views and a peaceful place to sleep. 

  I was on my way to Austin TX from California to visit my daughter and this was a destination I had on the map along my car camping route. Apparently I was late (said they close at 5 but apparently they close sooner) to get into the gate for first come but a gentle sole of an angle ranger Caesar let me in as I promised to pay in the morning when the gift shop was open to take payment at 8 am. Long story short, he made my day and I would love to go back and visit again given the opportunity. Loved this setup of a hidden gem from city lights and noise.

  Gorgeous views

  Well worth the long drive with plenty of drive-in spots. Gentle grades to get to the loops. We passed a few hike-in spots on our way to the Aztec Cave that looked great as well. 

  Our particular site had a gorgeous view down a valley close to the restrooms. We're told that the restrooms don't usually smell, but the we were there for race weekend, and we ended up packing up a day early to escape the downwind stink.

  Surprised, in a good way

  The staff is very friendly. We fit our 43 foot 5th Wheel and didn't have to unhook. No fancy amenities. Full hookups for a good price. Nice for a stop over. We would come back.

  Called the place multiple time….no return call….. found empty space with help of janitor….only to have place call to tell us to move that we were in someone’s spot….after we were set up. Terrible service!

  Great rv park but lots of road noise!

  Fort Bliss had a great famcamp. The sites were very nice, but its first come first serve and we got put in the last row along the highway. It forced us inside because it was not any fun to listen to. Surprisingly, the famcamp was not on base, which was also a little disappointing. There is lots to see and do in the area, and we're glad we stayed a few nights to check it out, but would not go back unless we needed a place in the area.

  Great small campground! Very clean and quiet. As driving in sites on right have more brush and are more shaded. Ones on left more open and flat, but have less shade. Rangers are helpful. Mandatory orientation and check in for hikes as they only allow so many people in at one time. Bathroom with showers very clean.
