Lovely East Texas Gem!

Walleye Park is a comfortable and lovely park in Mt. Vernon on Lake Cypress Springs - one of the most beautiful lakes in Texas. The sites border the edges of a peninsula so every site has water access and share a dock with the neighboring site.  Some are on open water and some in a cove. The…

Beautiful

I stopped at Daingerfield State Park on my way to Arkansas... I got there after dark and left around 9am so I wasn’t able to enjoy the park but it was beautiful with all the fall colors. I was at cedar ridge site 51. It was a Wednesday night so there were only 3 other sites being used in that area.…

Serenity!

We were the only ones crazy enough to go in December but it was great! Beautiful views and great fishing and were able to cook out and go geocaching.

Quit campground

We booked this campground last minute on a trip and being the last stop it was great to have a quite area. We were in site 12 which was a group site but it was all the had. We were tent camping and had plenty of flat area for our tent and we were far enough away from neighbors that it was quite.…

Lots of fun!

Our family of 4 stayed for a month while we were waiting for camper repairs. They have Karaoke across the street every Friday and live music every Saturday. Sites that back right up to great water views and access to fishing. Sandy spots to swim from at various entry points. Friendly people and…

Beautiful park

We came here first week of April 2021. Spring in the air, blooms all around. Very quiet but lively park, almost all the sites were occupied for the weekend. Friendly park ranger and store personnel. All amenities were kept up with. We enjoyed hiking, biking and even an ice cream from the park…

Great Family Place!

We stopped here for one night while passing through, and we loved it! Site 34 was nice and ducked off. The park has a lot to do; a lake with boat rentals, swimming in the summer, and beautiful trails! We loved it so much!

  • Site 34, would be perfect for tent camping and privacy but still great for having a rig parked and secluded chill space around the site.

Gorgeous! Even in Winter

Great wifi and bathrooms. Tons of security. Decent (even if short) trails.

Sign is too close to the highway without a safe place to park but there's an old sign inside the park.

Park store closed during winter except open on Saturdays.

Huge swimming beach.

Beautiful and peaceful

Driving into this park was so gorgeous! we arrived and were met with a big field with lots of kids playing. The store was closed (for the winter holidays I assume), but bathrooms were some of the best I've been in at a state park. We camped at site 49 at the Cedar Ridge campgrounds and were super…

Nice but....

Site 69 will take a 45’ motor coach. We have camped several times here but this time the water pressure was a joke. Very few campers. We had to use onboard water pump for everything.

Great campground with beautiful Lake view

This is another well designed COE campground. Sites are well separated from neighbors. There are some sites (Loops D and E) that have full hookups including sewer, but the most desirable sites are in Loop B, some of which have direct views of the lake. Sites B 1 through B 14 are especially…

Nice and Quiet Under Tall Pines

We arrived for our 4-night stay at this COE campground 177 days after making reservations and were greeted by friendly camp hosts. Our FHU site was spacious but weirdly laid out that had our fire pit just two feet from the neighbor's sewer hookup. Who designs these sites?!?! Level D loop site with…
